JAPAN 2025 | DAY 4 | Mito / Ueno park (Tokyo)
Left our hotel and noticed that there are quite a few sakura trees near our hotel On our way to Kairaku-en (one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan) Plans for this day were to go to Kairaku-en and to visit Hitachi seaside park. But due to weather been, well, quite nasty we decided to skip hitachi park as it was quite far and in this weather we would not have enjoyed it. Even tho this park is one of the three greatest gardens of Japan, it was quite a disappointment, due to our lack of research. Because this garden is mainly a plum garden. What is left of the plum bloom Expectation Reality >.< Also what is left of the plum Plum blooms late Feb till mid march and we came late march, too late. Still decided to walk around. Also not many people visiting. I think we only saw about 6 other people :) Going to a bus stop to go to train station. Waiting for a bus, Walking around. Former Mitsukaido High School Building Our bus, actually, but i did not check what bus we needed, so did not know a the time :) At the train station. Ueno park was not planned, but since we were traveling thru it to our next destination, we decided to stop and check out sakura in there, it was a good decision. Arrived to Ofuna. Ofuna is near Kamakura and cheaper.
Decided to walk around and check out this bust of Kannon Well, it was still raining and it was already closed. Left it for next day
