Hey guys, today we are in Namba station. Because of the golden week, there are so many people on the street. Golden week is one of the most busiest week in Japan. So in this video I will walking through the popular spot of Osaka and show you guys the atmosphere of Golden Week and also introducing the local part of Osaka too. So hope everyone enjoys the video. So in front of Namba station if you are heading to the Ebisubashi bridge you can keep straight that white street Ebisubashi suji and if you are heading to the kung I fish market you can walk straight toward to this Nambang Kaori we are heading to Ebisubashi bridge later but firstly let’s walking in Nambang Kaii this street always changes there are many new restaurants but Still old restaurant too. For example, this classic udong restaurant, they sell udong for 290 Japanese yen. Amazingly cheap. However, at this corner, there used to be a nice meat ban place over here, but now it became kind of like, you know, touristic strawberry shop. Gango restaurant is still here, but next to it they have a new dart. It is the ad of Kura restaurant. They have three different kinds of branches around here. Oh, and this is something new trains. When you arrive to the corner, if you are heading to Ebisashi Bridge, turn left over here and keep straight. If you are heading to Kong Icha market just keep straight. But today we are heading to the full street doji. In this street there is a Kindu ramen restaurant and compared to do food street. This place much fewer people. Also it is the wanaka takoyaki restaurant. Their takosen is good and cheap. Cost only 300 Japanese yen. It’s the Nambagetu, one of the most popular comedy theater in Japan. There is Donkey Hotel on the right side and the two street entrance is just over there. It is a fun spot to walk for the tourist too. It’s a small arcade. It’s the food sample shop. You can experience making hoot sample over here. Also, that’s a classic restaurant. Udong 300 Japanese yen. Fried tofu udong kitsune udong is only 370 Japanese yen. And also prawn tempura udong only 400 Japanese yen. Wow, that’s a good deal. Seems like it’s busy. Also, that’s a Japanese souvenir shop. There’s a huge beoning cat over here. In Japanese, it says, "Oh my goodness, that’s so cute." of price is 3,500 Japanese yen. Usually they hang nor in front of the store and the restaurant. Small trivia in Japanese accounting term of goodwill says nor well meaning is a bit different of the goodwill. But thinking about the culture, it makes sense, right? And that’s a shop if you want to open the store. There is a classic cotton candy machines. Oh my goodness. When I was a kid, I used to love cotton candy from this machine. Very interesting. There is a knife shelf. Knife in Japanese. Ho ho. And that’s a shaped ice cream machine. They have so many different kinds and uh they are selling many different kinds of dishes was good price. So that’s it for this street. Just turn left and keep straight on your right side. It is the road. It comes the name from Otaku. If you love anime or you made a cafe, this is the street you want to go. There is an anime over there too. and the Kuramonga market. It’s just over there. But beforehand, let me introduce the back street of Namba station. We call Namba. Uran means back. In the back street, there are many small restaurants which is pretty interesting too. That’s a curry shop and also it is a classic coin laundry. There are many drinking places as well. If you want to see the different atmosphere of Namba station, you can just come over between the pool street and the Kroong Ichima market. Not that many people knows, but there is a small park over here too. It is the Golden Wing. That’s why there are so many people, but usually it’s pretty quiet. This chiashi only 770 Japanese yang lunch menu though, but you can order it on the weekend too. And this small tiny bread store, it’s machi as well. They have so many cute different kinds of breads. Compared to the main street, the town’s atmosphere is different. I was born and raised in Osaka for locals. Usually we drink around those areas. So let’s go to the Kroong Ichima market. It is still closing, but uh there are so many tiny restaurant around here too. This Chinese food restaurant, it’s one of my favorite restaurant. It’s a bit pricey compared to the cheaper restaurants, but the taste it’s machi. Also, if you like the atmosphere of Shinjuku Golden Street, this Miso would be interesting spot. There are so many small restaurants and a cafe inside. Ah, look at this building. There’s a huge doors. That’s something artistic. Now we are at entrance of Kuramong Ichiba Market. It is one of the most popular seafood street market. It’s like the Nishiki market in Kyoto but smaller version. There are so many places to eat. As you can feel that even it’s a golden week, there are so many travelers. I mean travelers from foreign country. To be honest, speaking of the prices, it’s a bit more compared to the local areas. However, there are many entertaining restaurants. So if you don’t mind to pay more, this place would be a very fun spot. They have so many different kinds of food. Wagyu as well. Seafood, sea urchin, and also that’s a huge king crab. Wow. Udong. Yeah. Kamatama. Regular udong. Japanese yen. Well, if you have visited Osaka many times, maybe you don’t have to. But uh if it’s your first time to visit Osaka, yes, this is one of the spot that you should travel. Yeah, even it’s super crowded, it is a fun spot. So many seafood. Looks yummy. There’s a big supermarket over here, too. We are almost at end of the street. Usually end of the street not that many people but maybe because of the golden week there are so many people over here. All right so let’s go to doari food street. If you visit here on the rainy day you can walk from Namba station until here. It is the Nihon bashi station is number five. It connecting by the underground street. This street called Namba walk. It is a long shopping street day. There are many cafes, restaurants, and the stores. As you guys know, there are many rainy days in Japan, especially if you visit here in the rainy season. So, it’s better to know where to visit in the rainy day, too. Meat and the veggie taku comes with Mr. Soup. 880 Japanese yen. Good deal, huh? Around here, there are many drinking restaurant, too. They have a choic beer, three skewers, and a tofu. 890 Japanese yen. You can change it to the kag or oden too. Wow. That’s a great deal. Compared to the main area of Namba station, it’s a bit far from the main area. So that’s why there are a bit cheaper restaurants around here, too. Forest Park. Usually they have many different kinds of object. Today seems like something retro store. Gibly store retro. And here still we have Sakura and the Maku Maku over here. If you are heading to do food street, just use the stairs in front of the well square. Subway station is just over there too. B12. If you get out from here, Abubashi Suji is right front of you. You see that corner? Yes, that’s already Doburi Abubashi Bridge. By the way, if you want to walk in the back street, turn right the second corner in front of the domash bridge. Just keep straight. If you find a Daiso on your right side, you are on the right track. There is a Hosen Temple, which is the small temple right next to Doburi Street. Oh my goodness. Because of the Golden Week, there are so many people over here too. Usually much fewer people here though. I think it’s my first time to see this many people at Ozenji. Let’s walking toward to the food street. There are so many small giz over here and Buddha over here. Now we are at Hoenji Yoko. Wow. Atmosphere everywhere. Turn left over here. Keep straight. We are heading to the dobury food street. Oh, I thought many people would be over here, but seems like not that many people. It is a fun taking a picture spot though. And here we go. We’re at the food street. The entrance is right front of that huge crab. Yep. This small tiny street. This is the one. Now we are at Doar Food Street. Yep. This is how the golden week looks like. It is one of the biggest holiday in Japan. There are so many international traveler and also domestic travelers. That’s why it becomes more crowded. By the way, speaking of today’s temperature, it’s 22° Windows 3 m/s, 37% humidity. Sunset time is 6:44. We are almost at entrance of doburi food street. Here we go. This is one of the signature spot of Osaka food street. We are at bridge. Now this is one of the most popular picture spot in Osaka. Many people taking photo in front of Greek running man. It is a beautiful photo spotter. Oh, maybe they are having some cosplay event. There are so many people wearing cosplay. Interesting. Golden week. It is a big holiday in Japan. So, there are so many different kinds of event all over Japan. Now, let’s keep walking toward to Shinsaiashi Station. By the way, beside the street of Dotoi, this place called Soon Cho Street, that’s like the Kabuki Cho in Tokyo. So, let’s keep walking toward Shinsaiashi station. Basically, this long street continues from Namba station to Shinsaiashi station. Finally, we have arrived Shinsaiashi station. Well, from Ebisubashi Bridge to Shinsaiashi station, it is not that far, but because there are just so many people on the street. Yeah, it took much longer time. Pokemon and Dragon Ball Freeze. Now we are heading not that touristic spot. We are heading to local part of Osaka. First spot we are heading to Yoyabashi Station. We are using the middle line at two stations away. The red line over here. Oh, seems like train just arrived. Oh, wait. That’s a different one. We are heading to north. So, it’s track number two. Here we go. This is the one from here. It takes 4 minutes. By the way, if you are heading to Osaka Kispo, this homemachi station is a train station that you need to change the train. It’s right next to Shinsashi station. All right, now we arrived to Yoyabashi station. It cost 190 Japanese yen till here. We are using the exit number one. If you keep straight toward to this street, you will arrive to Osaka station. But today we are heading to east. Ah, they are having the festival. I think it’s because it’s the golden week. I am not sure if you can feel the difference of the atmosphere. Yep. Here there are more local people around doi areas. There are more international travelers but here there are more domestic travelers because it is the golden week. We all know that golden week season doi area will be super crowded. So usually local don’t go to that places and joining the local matsuri festival. Well, it is very crowded anyway though. Oh, nice. You can make the original coaster over here. So many kids are enjoying it. From here, there are more food stalls. They have tamago sbe. It’s 300 Japanese yen. They plate the sauce and those are the tenasu which is the tempera crisp and egg on top. They place the mayonnaise and it’s done. Sweet. It’s a half boiled egg. Looks yummy. If you are eating at the do food street, I recommend you to try the taco. But this, it’s also good, too. Nice sauce flavor. Perfectly matches this shrimp rice cracker with tenkas and mayonnaise. Loving it. This is the Osaka popular snack. It looks very simple. I usually don’t see it in the other festival. So yeah, feels like that I came back to Osaka. Interesting. Egg yolki. foreign. G foreign. All anime songs are really popular. I believe whoever grew up in Japan. Most of the people I think over 90% of people knows that whole song. Yeah, me. Yeah, I know. Well, well, I’m not sure how those songs are popular in other countries. So, please let me know how many s did you know in the comment. They have beer 500 Japanese yen and also yakisaba fried noodle 450 Japanese yen. Even the matsuri festival the prices are more local friendly. There are more food stalls over here and there’s so many kids over here too. Dyaki 200 Japanese yen. That’s a good price too. So, I just got the dyaki. It’s more like a fluffy pancake. Baby caster. I picked the custard cream taste. Outside it is crispy, inside fluffy. Nice custard flavor perfectly matches with pancake. You know, because of the impression, everything is getting more and more expensive. So this kind of local prices loving it. shooting and also Super Bowl catch. Food stall continue more and more. Fruits 200 Japanese yen and associate is 300 Japanese yen. Shaves ice 300 Japanese yen and the hot dog 500 Japanese yen. You know the Mati festival is a fun place for kids and many kids are enjoying here with the pocket money. So the Mati festival’s food prize supposed to be like that. Yeah. Now I feel like I came back to Osaka. Interesting. Making slime lab karag 400 Japanese yen. here. Seems like they are preparing the Tao drum festival and the flower garden over here. What a peaceful place. Another square over there. I am wondering what it is. I have no idea what it is, but seems like they’re having fun. Nice. Maybe they are having the rehearsal. Oh, good job. Nice. I’m just wondering if they are the part of Mati festival or maybe some high school kids are practicing for filming for something for their event. Usually we have that kind of event in the high school. So yeah, either way happens because of the golden weeks so many people come over here to play. So now we are heading to the Tenjim Bashen which is another long arcade but it’s more for locals. It’s so peaceful view. So it starts from here. It says meaning the longest arcade in Japan. So let me explain about this guy a little bit. This arcade is the longest shopping street in Japan, stretching over 2.6 kilometer in Osaka. It features hundreds of shops from local eery and clothing stores to traditional goods and entertainment. Compared to doi, this arcade is more local atmosphere. So if you love arcade, exploring local part of Japan, probably this arcade will be more interesting. Especially it’s close to the Osaka station. Next to the arcade there is a Osaka Tangu which is one of the most popular shrine in Osaka. During festival season there will be so many people visiting over here and this place becomes very crowded. Now seems like they are praying. Oh, interesting. Kind of dancing inside the shrine. During the festival season, they have a huge fireworks around here. When I was a student, every year I visited this Tenjin Nohanabi fireworks festival of Tenzin and I enjoyed a lot. Yeah, there are so many sweet and sour memories. Well, when I was a student, I thought I will get married in early age and come back there with my family. That’s what I thought. But uh always things are doesn’t go as you planned. But that’s why it’s fun, right? Let’s keep working. So, let’s go back to the arcade. It is the local cafe. Now finish. We are entering the number two. It continues until number seven. It is a long arcade. Compared to this have more people. It’s Okashino discounted snack shop. Yakiniku bar. Happy hour away. Alcohol beverage only 99 Japanese yen. Wow. Kushi Katu. Seven skewers, 1,100 Japanese yen. And if ordered five skewers, the beer will be 100 Japanese yen. Sweet. It’s the local veggie shop. I thought this street could be more popular for international travelers, too. But seems like today there are so many domestic travelers only over here. Well, because of the golden week, there are so many people. But uh probably if you visit here on the weekday, it would be a few people over here. Starting from 50 Japanese vending machine, the coffee is 60 Japanese yen and the green tea 80 Japanese. Good job. Oh, close shop. That one piece 390 Japanese yen. Wow. And can you take a guess what it is? It’s a fortune robot. Oh my goodness. That’s my first time to see. It’s so Osaka. It’s the dry cleaner and also second handbook store, flower shop. That’s a local utensil store. Oh, really? Another Marushik snack discounted snack shop here. Asai super try 150 premium mods 180 Japanese yen. Wow. Seems like foods are cheap as well. I’m wondering how they can keep that price though. Well, if they open the store with the same price in Tokyo, probably there will be a super long line. Yeah, they will be so popular though. We are walking toward to north. Seems like there are more and more people over here and the super tamade over here too. It It’s the cheapest also. Now we arrived to JRMA station. That’s why there are more people over here. It becomes more lively. Now feels like it’s the golden week. Yeah, it’s very good price. Chicken wink price 90 Japanese yen. The beer 150. Highball whiskey soda only 50 Japanese yen. They open for 24 hours, too. Yeah, we just came from the Kuramoa market, right, which is the 26 spot. The price differences are huge. Now, no wonder local doesn’t go there to drink or eat, right? Because there are so many places like this in Osaka. That drinking place dropped beer 100 Japanese yen. Now the arcade street gets much smaller and more people over here. Oh my goodness. Look at here. They have a tuna sashimi. Only three Japanese yen. And also that skewer, one skewer 49 Japanese yen. Small dish 9 Japanese yen. Chutello 555. Really? Beer also 199 Japanese yen too. Wow. Seems like it’s super crowded inside though. So now we are at Go 5. It continues all the way down to seven, but we are turning to left heading to Osaka station. Well, I wanted to eat in some restaurants because the prices are really cheap. However, because it’s the golden week, there are so many people and I don’t think I can film inside if it’s crowded. So, maybe next time we can try. But if you want to explore the local part of Japan and you want to try the Japanese isakaya which is a drinking part this yes is a good spot. Let’s go. We are walking toward to west now. We are at which is a different arcade. Compared to the tenjimba, this arcade seems like more order. Yeah, classic shenai. Wow, it is so local atmosphere. This yakinik restaurant seems like they have been here for a very long time. Suddenly, it became super quiet. You see the bike parking? We don’t have that kind of street bike parking in Tokyo much. So when I visit Kamata station and when I see that a street bike parking, I said I miss Osaka which is my hometown. Yeah. Because of that you see everywhere. So the Kamata station which is right next to the Haneda airport. Yeah, that town the atmosphere that’s pretty similar to Osaka. We arrived to Nakasaki Cho station. The arcade ends over here. You see that tall building in front of you? Yeah, that’s already Osaka station. Since it’s middle of the Golden Week, there must be so many people in Osaka station, too. We’ll see after cross this tunnel. It’s almost there. Yep. Already we see the H five ferris wheel. I think since we are getting closer to Osaka station, there are more and more people on the street. Everyone heading to Osaka station. Finally, we arrived to Hanku Osaka Umeda station. It is the F5 building. If you want to ride on that first wheel, this is the building that you need to come. Golden week. Osaka station supposed to be. Let’s go to Jr. Osaka station square. We are walking slow inside the station heading to that square. We are at Hanki Grand building. Let’s go to the upstairs and watch the people in front of you. That’s JR Osaka station. And this is one of the most popular view of Oaka. Yeah, it’s like Shiba crossing. During the rush hour time, this place becomes so crowded. But uh yeah, today it’s also crowded. However, compared to the rush hour time, still much better. Let’s go check out the construction situation in Osaka. There might be a building already. We’ll see. By the way, that’s the entrance of Ju Osaka station. Uh, seems like there’s a street performer. Good job. Finally, we get here. Since they are so crowded, it was so hard to walk and it took much longer time to get here. So, we arrived to the main square. Finally, we could visit this square. After I came back to Osaka, I couldn’t visit this place yet. So, happy. Oh, seems like the construction has big progress because there were a big gate over there, right? Let’s go up higher price and check up the place. We are going to the sky garden. Let’s go upstairs. We are at Tokino Hiroba now. Ah, there are the Osaka expo sign over here too. It becomes expos. That’s nice. We are still going up. One more stairs to go from there. We have a better view. Ah, right on time. It’s time of the sunset. Oh, really? It’s already open now. We can enter too. Let’s walk there. I need to make the Osaka guide video again. Must be nice flights over there. Beautiful view. We can see the head five terville from here too. I believe we can just walk down from here and walking toward to that square. Let’s keep walking. I was so looking forward to opening that spot, but since I didn’t come back to Osaka for a while, I didn’t know. My mind was totally at the expo and uh didn’t know about Osaka Station. How excited. Oh, so seems like there are many restaurants already opening. So those areas are open and this place too, but seems like those area not yet. Grand Green Osaka. It’s a nice walking space. There are some food stalls and also Oh, maybe they will have some event over there. Ah, interesting. It’s the water playground and also festival. I’m not sure what kind of festival it is, but seems like everyone is having fun time. It’s a nice peaceful area. That’s a sky building. And also that’s the Osaka station over there. Yeah. So many kids and families are over here playing around. What a peaceful place. I think they’re having the event because of its golden week. I always said you know golden week and also the Christmas time it is kind of worse time to visit Japan because everywhere it’s super crowded but at the same time I always say that you know it will be super crowded but they will have the so many event everywhere all over Japan so you can have a extra fun even you visit the same place so even it’s super crowded not about You know, I always see the bright side. I am just wondering if it’s fried. Yeah, seems like it’s flying though. Let’s go upstairs. So, I just asked about that maroon. Actually, it’s frying a higher place, but because of the wind, it’s dangerous. So, that’s why they are keeping lower and there are people holding the crowd. So, it’s supposed to be, you know, higher up over there. That’s what it is. Interesting. Oh, yeah. From here, we can see better. Oh my goodness. What a nice square. Oh, maybe it’s connecting to Osaka station. Let’s explore. Beautiful sunset. Ah, nice. There is a Starbucks here. So, seems like this is the entrance. It says Osaka station. Oh, so we can directly get from here. There is a food court too. Just wondering where this street goes to. Oh, so now I see it continues all the way up over here. And if you want to enter to the Osaka station, we can go down from here. I think this is also the new area. Oh, interesting. So, seems like this is the entrance. There is a underground entrance over here. Oh, really? It continues to over here. I am not sure how many people can realize this exit. Actually, there used to be the picture spot over there and it was like a dead end, but now it’s open. Yeah, the face recognition system over there. And this is the Umeikita entrance. So those areas they just opened and the Grand Green Osaka it continues to that square it opens March 21st 2025. No wonder I didn’t know because I was in Tokyo. If we keep straight in this street we are heading back to that square. Yeah this place it’s right under the green bear. We can just going up and that’s a square of Osaka station. Yep, it’s over here. Mystery solved. Okay, I think this spot that’s perfect. So, good news Osaka station it becomes more fun spot and the bad news Osaka station become more maze. Yeah, around those areas were closing. So never visited there but now it’s open and there are more places especially there are hotels around there too. So probably if you visit Osaka you might visit around those area in the future video I will try to make Osaka station’s guide video again so that people can understand more so that even people arrive to Osaka station they don’t get lost. Yeah, Osaka station is amazing. Even me sometimes I get lost. So probably you will get lost too if you are not familiar with Osaka station. During the golden week touristic spot, there are so many international travelers and the prices are higher, but local travel spot there are more domestic travelers, but the prices are lower.
