Naomi Osaka made a strong start at the WTA Italian Open 2025, beating Sara Errani 6-2, 6-3 in just 79 minutes. Fresh off her first title since returning from maternity leave, the former world No. 1 looked sharp, hitting 40 winners and firing 7 aces. Osaka said she’s focused on gaining more clay-court experience ahead of the French Open. Elsewhere, Emma Raducanu battled past Aussie teen Maya Joint in three sets 7-5, 6-7, 6-3 while Bianca Andreescu, Victoria Azarenka, and Maria Sakkari all moved into the next round.
