Zanzibar Island – New Entry Requirements Zanzibar?!? From 01.10.2024!

wonderful good morning so we just got the news just the other day that if you want to fly to sanah and so many of my clients including myself after your Safari in Kenya or Tanzania you want to fly to the world famous island or at least Africa’s most beautiful island zanar but now they changed the regulations and it is so annoying because I feel like it’s just a money-making thing it’s like Anyway in this video I’m sharing all about what you need the new requirements so that you can enter SBA and you don’t get stuck there at the immigration office and then they tell you to go back or you have to break someone or yeah get new documents there so stay tuned then I’m sharing everything in detail [Music] bye we are enjoying right now as small holiday at my secret Nairobi Hiway at Lemon Valley Farm in Lake element magic in the air a perfect place to travel here after your Safari in masara to do day trips to Nasha or lake [Music] nakuru so let’s get into [Music] this for the on don’t know me yet my name is Sia I’m a travel influencer and um travel consultant focus on Specialized on helping you to plan your trip in Kenya and also part of Tanzania and this news like it was breaking news for us I know it’s out now since a couple of weeks however the two companies and some of the hotels I believe in Tanzania are still fighting for this new regulation and requirement because if you ask me it’s just as I said making money because it is a travel inbound insurance which means you are secured for emergencies and in case you get sick Etc when you are in Tanzania so Sansa and Tanzania however they don’t allow you to apply for your own like abroad like if you have if you are from us and you already have a medical cover for Africa or East Africa it’s not going to help you you still have to apply for that new one so and it’s ruled by one there’s not like a pool you can choose or not there saying like take one no the requirement take a specific one it’s that one and it’s run by the government so for me obviously that is just like fine a new regulation so that the government makes money I know it’s that news also for us I feel like it’s a bit stressful because right now um it’s just two months to go and we are actually flying to Sansa again I love being in sanba and I think Sansa is really worth it and it’s so it’s beautiful and it’s it’s like an island feeling which you can’t have anywhere else and the water is so Crystal Blue and now I know you might ask yourself like okay then should I just stay in Kenya for the beach or should I go somewhere else because now it’s this is too much yes in Kenya we also do have beautiful beaches I love the beach sides I’m a fan of IND vamu and then also we have the a small island our own Island here it’s called lamu Island where it’s the only Island without cars so you fly in and then you get picked up with an um with a boat from the airport to your Island and I was told it’s like a bit similar as in the malades and especially in Chella Beach and Manda Island it has beautiful beach sites it is so beautiful but Sansa it’s still Sansa it is a unique Island I mean it’s actually multiple islands and I still feel it’s worth it to go there and also as we are traveling there hopefully in um now over Christmas and the new year because we don’t want to spend it in Nairobi so yeah fingers crossed so that’s why the regulation it’s for all of us even for us here living in Kenya or even people living in Tanzania then going to sanbah because the funny thing is this regulation is not for Tanzania the island I mean the mainland Tanzania it’s only for Sansa only if you fly there you don’t have to understand so but let me take you through in this video some of the points we are covering first of all what is the insurance where can you get it how much does it cost and then a few questions how is it about kids do they need it as well like is there any discounts and what documents do I need if you apply for it and how soon do you apply for it so I have here the official web page it is called Sansa Insurance Corporation and the web page is visit s.j. TZ there is no other one please only go to the official one because in Kenya in Tanzania it is all the same we have a lot of scammers there a lot of people who are trying to get your money or scam you and especially if something is new maybe it’s not yet 100% protected online so a lot of fake things might be out there in a very short time so only go to that official one and then it’s very straightforward I actually just applied just to make this video and to help you out um to take you through so then you can apply for it and then you see down there check your application status and you should apply as soon as possible you have booked your flight tickets or you know you are traveling because this is a new system we don’t know yet how good it works and let me be honest with you guys here if you book your trip to Kenya you can apply or you have to apply for your AV Visa online it takes you 3 days or two days max the system is straightforward everything is there now if you apply for Tanzania your AV Visa online well sometimes it takes a months 3 weeks so it is really a struggle but then on the other hand you can also get your AV visa for Tanzania you can get a visa on arrival which is not possible for Kenya for example so now for this tool actually it’s not yet written it’s not yet said anywhere if you can only get it on arrival I mean if you can only get it online or also on arrival however for you to be on the safe side and not to stand on Long Long cues when you enter Because already there’s a lot of uh checkups like sanba has its own International Airport and the checkups for yellow fever vaccines um for your visa and all those things it takes forever like last time we traveled there we actually went with the fairy so it was another immigration office but still it took forever they controlled so many papers so if you now also have to get there and apply for the insurance it’s just going to make your life hard so try to apply it online as soon as possible and then it looks very straightforward so if you click on the application you can actually see that you can choose between individual uh family and then groups so I tried and I did it for an individual just for me and my son so he can individual is maximum two people so if you are a couple you can apply there if you have a child you can apply there and kids are actually for free up to 2 years only from 3 to 17 years they pay 50% so the cost for this travel insurance per person is $44 USD so you have to pay $50 for your Visa then $44 for this and if you are under 7 it’s $22 half of it and if you are in a big family or even in a group but it’s more than 10 people then you can get some discounts but they’re just talking about like 10% so it’s it’s not much so there’s just another big fee which comes and you have to apply it and please only apply it on the official web page it’s very important and yeah when I applied it it’s straightforward you just have to give in your your names your date of birth place of birth gender nationality telephone number passport um then you need to upload your passport um picture like your passport uh a picture of your passport and your arrival date departure date and that’s it already you don’t have to necessarily upload any other documents up from there you can just straight pay with your credit card so they will not ask you for your flight details apart for arrival dates they’re not interested in all those small things so you don’t have to upload a flight ticket you don’t have to upload your iner or anything because when you apply for your Kenyan AA for example you have to apply so many documents this all is not necessarily here so it’s actually very quick and very straightforward and you can go with so this is only necessary for sanba if you go to Tanzania for Safari and not to Sansa you don’t need it it is funny because Tanzania and zanba is one country however they treat themselves as two different countries with two different government so that’s why they keep on having their own regulations yes and that’s the funny thing what I tried explaining you do need it it is necessary 100% for everyone they don’t care if you have already your insurance if you’re paying for it they don’t care you need that and no other you can’t choose a different it covers the medical and related expenses so emergency medical expenses up to $50,000 USD in case there’s quarantine and they’re expensive they cover it emergency medical evacuation uh 24/7 assistant service for medical emergency accommodation and travel arrangements and so on personal accident and liability so accidental death up to $20,000 USD personal liability up to$ 30,000 USD permanent total disability as per 1% up to $2,000 USD uh legal expensive and buggage lawyers expenses up to $2,000 USD advance for bail up to $2,000 USD baggage delay uh theft lost damage lugs up to $400 USD so they are quite trying to cover a lot however my personal opinion is it’s just a money-making thing because you don’t have the choice to choose your own insurance you have to choose that one actually none you just need your dates but you don’t need to proof as I said or your flight tickets or anything else you just need to upload your passport and that’s it very simple straightforward so it actually covers you up to 92 days so three months um anyway you can’t stay longer than three months in Sansa or Tanzania after that you have to apply again in case you were to extend your visa and in case you were to stay longer that was it the other applications you need the requirements to go to Tanzania is as I had already mentioned it’s your Visa it’s USD $50 per person and also it’s for kids you see if you go to Kenya kids below 16 don’t need a visa in Kenya in Tanzania you do need visa even for kids and also this insurance is necessary for kids from the age of 3 years so you need that plus your yellow fever risk if you come from Kenya or if you come from another country which had yellow fever risk and that’s all the applications you need you don’t need anything else as for right now those rules and regulation can change any minute and that’s why if you want to follow or subscribe to this channel I always share with you the news and also I have a Kenya travel checklist everything you need to know to enter Kenya and what you want to do and to plan I also do help for Tanzania but it’s just that I have been traveling fulltime the last with my little man 2 and a half years now we settle down in Nairobi we are slowing down more but have also had a lot of travels around um Tanzania just the other week H just beginning of the year I had a road trip with one of my clients three weeks from the coast down from Kenya down to sanba all the way and then we ended up spending one week in Sansa and I’ve been there several times so I do have been on Safari I know a lot of in Tanzania as well and have my local Partners there there however I’m specialized on Kenya but if you feel like okay this is so much and I don’t know for my Safari and is it Kenya or Tanzania or do I want to do both and should I combine sanspa or not I am here to help you out and that’s why you can find a free link down below here and then I can invite you on a call with me or my team and just apply for it and if you’re lucky we are going to be on a call together and then I can help you planning your trip in East Africa yeah that is it already for today cheers I sent it little Mano ready for breakfast because H I needed peace to shoot this video it is insane take you outside from my room directly with the [Music] jacuzzi and then at the far end you can see the lake and this property has become one of my favorite because it’s super small it’s run by a local and they have so much love to detail and it’s it’s like never busy it’s just has a few cottages and I love coming here The Vibes the energy it is just peaceful and yeah it’s like my secret Hideway now that I’m sharing with you it’s not that secret anymore but if you feel like you don’t want to go to those big hotels and after masara you want to go to Nasha or lake nakuru this could be here your base from here you can drive to Nasha it’s just half an hour you can go to the lake here element just down 15 minutes we are going to go there actually now or going from here to nakuru as well okay that’s it for today I hope you like it subscribe uh like it share it with everyone you think like needs this video who is maybe flying soon to SBA or thinking about it and actually I haven’t mentioned this is a new requirement from the 1 of October it’s just new new new 1st of October 2024 very straight new forward and it’s going to start from 1st of October so it is necessary now to share that video and to know this okay that’s it [Music] [Laughter] give no coffe your child in the morning [Music]

  1. Come on going to European countries is also just more expensive…. No complaining about cost๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚it's checkmate ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜Ž

  2. News flash. Tourism is purely a money-making thing. For the destination that is. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  3. it is tourist island not worth visiting anyway, just full of trash made for tourists
go visit real Tanzania instead and boycot overpriced island

  4. European countries make African citizens a pay thousands of dollars for visas, have to include lots of supporting documents and proof of affordabilityโ€ฆ and then REJECT THEM and they donโ€™t get refunded. So an extra $44 dollars to Zanzibar is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

  5. Taking Care and making sure of your own Health is NOT an "Annoying" thing. Do you know how many People get Sick when they in their hotels or beaches in Zanzibar? Do you know some people usually come to Zanzibar with money just to spend on entertainments but don't have money to pay for medical incase they fall Sick? Who do you thing is going to treat them without paying incase they fall sick? How the Europe Insurance is going to Apply or pays Hospitals or Doctors in Zanzibar or Tanzania? You should put all thing in consideration too that how do you think your insurance is going to agree to Pay a healthcare company in Zanzibar on time without back and forth and lots of disturbances for money from insurance company in Europe to pay a doctor in Zanzibar. Try to think before bragging about $44 because that $44/money is not even enough to buy 1 bottle of Tylenol and Magnesium pills for Pains or irritate Stomach but it can treat you in a big hospital incase you fall sick.

  6. Thank you so much for this ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ Iโ€™m seeing in Zanzibar on the 4th of October and I was not even aware ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I just paid 44$ for my insurance. Thanks a million.

  7. Come on, to get visa to your country we have to fill up so many pages , do fingerprint even for kids under7yrs, interview, and sometimes you get denied and we don't even get half our money back. But that is your country rule and this is ours. Welcome to Zanzibar .

  8. We need to make money anyway Island is really nice so must be expensive then it's we know that we have competition nearber is small island has not enough places so must be controlled all the time to make people enjoy and not anoyng

  9. While it is important to have insurance, it still remains an individuals personal choice.
Some European countries make it mandatory, but you still choose an insurance company you approve of.
There are also very important reasons why they ask travellers to their destinations to be insured. Different companies have unique insurance plans skirted around job risks, in short, everyone belongs to sets of different insurance companies and can be treated in hospitals affiliated to themThis means foreigners are not catered for in this system and that's why one should be covered to avail services. The Zanzibar approach would ruin other insurance companies within the island

  10. Please Iโ€™m really stressed out, Iโ€™m going KENYA from UK and I had checked I donโ€™t need yellow fever vaccine BUT after 4 days in Kenya we have booked to travel to Zanzibar and just found out through internet I will require YELLOW FEVER VACCINE. I am pregnant and my doctor advised me not to take it. Please let me know if they will check at the airport ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข

  11. I deeply concerned about negative impact of tourism on zanzibar, both in terms of economic and harm to the community and culture. Tourism can bring unintended consequences, especially when it's not managed properly like in our beautiful zanzibar.

While tourism is often promoted as a way to boost economy, in zanzibar it lead to price inflation . Tourist drive up the cost of living, making essentials unaffordable for locals. I feel unfair benefits opportunities aren't accessible to most zanzibaris.

Tourists behave disrespect fully some cases exploit vulnerable people, such as children .

I wish for the end of tourism industry in zanzibar altogether. I think the damage is already too great.

  12. Its just a small change and here complaining too much ๐Ÿ˜ข vaccine is for your only good and they raised price i because every thing change including economy so the government should finding the way to corp with it ๐Ÿ˜ข i saw some of the video like this she trying so hard also to ruin Zanzibar and the government look bad! She gone so far and say Zanzibar is dird people are bad ๐Ÿ˜ข please if you can't afford the expenses just stop ruining Zanzibar and Tanzania ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ฟ ๐Ÿ˜ณ

  13. We applied 2 weeks before travelling to Zanzibar and only got confirmation 2 days before leaving Kenya for Zanzibar. However, a friend of ours who travelled a similar time to us, never got confirmation, but had a copy of the application and proof of payment which was accepted at the airport on arrival. We also saw people buying their scam health visa at Zanzibar airport, but it looked like it was taking time to do. Unlike getting into Nairobi airport which 2 hours from getting off the plane to actually getting out of the terminal, we got off the plane in Zanzibar , had all our entry requirements checked, picked up bags and got our pre booked transport outside the terminal in about 30 minutes

  14. If you are out there thinking of going to either Zanzibar or Diani, they made that decision easier for youโ€ฆ Come to Diani.

  15. I was in Zanzibar 3 weeks ago. I purchased my own travel insurance when I booked my trip, and I still had to pay $50-55 for Zanzibar travel insurance when I arrived. Plus $100 for the visa fee to Tanzania. So thatโ€™s already $150. Zanzibar was cool, but the constant begging by โ€œbeach boysโ€ was annoying.

  16. Can the people of Zanzibar go to the west?? Then shut up and abide by Zanzibar rules or just go vist washington DC, so beautifule??????

  17. Hello, thank you so much for the information you provided. You have no idea how helpful this was to me. Do you book excursions for your customers ? If so, please provide me with your email I would love to touch base with you. Thanks

  18. I m going there in November. Good to know this. Can i do this on arrival? Or just online ? On what website ?

  19. What if you transferring from Dar Es Salamm, does this Insurance still apply? The visa fee is now $100 for Americans.
