2 nights summer escape to Japan’s hidden onsen town | Shuzenji, Izu Peninsula | Shizuoka

If you’ve already been to Hakone, consider taking the train a little further into Izu Peninsula! There’s SO MUCH to explore in the area, especially if you like nature and ocean views. On this trip, we went to Shuzenji, an onsen resort town in the center of the peninsula. It is a small historical town, perfect for a relaxing and slow-paced getaway. If you visit, I would recommend spending a night, because it can be a little hard to get to! A car is also recommended if you want to explore further areas like Joren falls 😀

    Kinosakionsen is a beautiful small onsen town, if you ever find yourself near Kyotango/Toyoka.
