What to Do in Osaka Alone 🇯🇵 Katsuoji, McDonald’s Japan Taste Test & Osaka Castle
[Music] It’s day three in Japan and today we’re going to go to some nature side in the mountain. So yeah, I just got ready. So let’s go. Yes, today is another busy day in Japan. I’m taking you to Katsu Oji Temple which is located in the mountain area of Osaka. So, it took about 40 minutes right by metro to get there and you have to take another bus which is a little bit pricey in my opinion. And the bus goes there I think about every 30 minutes and there was a really long queue when I was there. So, I don’t know if you want to sit in the bus definitely queue earlier. Not like me because I had to stand for about 35 minutes. But that’s okay. It was crowded but I made it. And of course, right away you are greeted by the little darumas. And it’s so cute. They are literally everywhere. And when you pay for the ticket, you get this empty card, which I was confused about, but then I saw some people putting this on it. And it’s a stamp. So that’s a really cute idea, really good souvenir. They have ABCD EFG stops. So, you have to go around and find them all if you want a cute card. So, of course, that’s what I did. And this is the first one. The place is absolutely beautiful with the cherry blossom and the temples and the pond. It was so nice. I was super lucky with the weather. It was so nice and warm. And yeah, I just enjoyed the views of Dharmas and [Music] temples. Of course, I had to stop and take a picture, but it was a little bit hard because I was by myself. So, I used this long selfie stick. And honestly, it’s not too bad. But they were so cute. Just look at them. I think this place is great for a half a day trip, but I was trying to rush a little bit because I had some other plans later since I’m not staying so long in Japan, only few days. So, I really wanted to squeeze all of the attractions in Osaka. But of course, it’s impossible. So, there is still a lot of stuff that I didn’t get to do, but at the end of the day, I’m super glad that I went there. It was really magical and beautiful. It was a little bit weird because you can see the graveyards, but other than that, it was really, really nice. [Music] of course had to take another stuff for the stamp and I’m not sure but I feel like I missed one but still after it was really cute. You can start to see the dharma in the pictures. And it was so cute to see all the little figurines in those shapes like 2025. And there also was a sign for I love you. It was super cute. I think walking around took me around 3 and 1/2 hours. But here’s the finished result. I’m not sure what I didn’t take the video of that. But we’re going to our next stops. It’s the cafe that I saw on Instagram and Tik Tok. It’s called Bearpaw Cafe and you are served by this giant teddy bear hand and I just had to try it. It was so cute. The drink was okay. I’m not sure what it was. It was like some strawberry whipped cream milk. And of course in Japan I had to try McDonald. Okay, so I got my McDonald’s but they say I cannot drink inside the other drinks. So I guess I’m going to have to find a place to sit and eat. Yes. So, I had to find another place to sit and eat. And I found this little park and decided to have a picnic, but it was a little bit awkward because there were so many kids talking to me. Okay, this is my setup because I don’t know. I had the other drink and they said I cannot drink in McDonald’s. So, I just came to the park, but it was a little bit awkward because here is so many kids. But anyway, I got some Fanta and some burger and some chicken nuggets. And I guess I’m going to eat it next to the cherry blossom on the stairs. So, I got this burger. It’s like a cheeseburger, but it also has an egg inside. So, yeah, I’m going to try that. I don’t know what it is, but here’s the egg. We got chicken nuggets and barbecue sauce. Barbecue sauce because in Taiwan they don’t have barbecue sauce. I’m so excited. Good. [Applause] Let’s try with this. It’s a green Santa. It’s giving like neon green. I don’t know. toxic vibes, but it’s good. It’s like 3 p.m. I haven’t eaten anything since all day. So, this is my breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I found cherry blossom on the ground. There are so many. Anyway, it’s too windy. I’m going to go. Hope you enjoyed. Bye. got lost somewhere in Osaka. Just kidding. Just Google Maps lead me to some park on the way to Osaka Castle. And yeah, so chill. This is the castle. Yes, after the McDonald’s break, I of course had to see the famous Osaka Castle. So that’s where I went and it took me about 45 minute walk from the place that I was, but it was cute. I saw some cute neighborhoods on the way and of course the castle was amazing and beautiful. After that, I decided to do a little shopping. There is a lot of vintage stores in Osaka, so I decided to check out some malls. And of course, I bought a t-shirt. But now I regret a little bit because I wanted like an anime t-shirt, but I don’t know, it was so pricey. But before that, of course, I had to try another viral shop in Osaka. This is like a bakery that makes those French style pastries. And I took one with creme brulee. It was pretty good, but I don’t know, maybe I’m not a big fan of creme brulee, but it was. And then I stumbled upon this random mall with a big whale and they had some cute shops. So I decided to check it out. The prices were pretty good. Some of the styles were vintage. And of course I had to check some anime stores, but they didn’t really have anything that would interest me because I don’t know, I’m a very old school anime fan like Nana and stuff. That’s what I stopped watching. And of course had to check 711 and I was surprised that they have Tik Tok cards. I’m back in the hotel. So tired. My feet are killing me. But it’s totally nice to be active and stuff. Of course, you’re in Japan, so you’re going to walk tons. And I went to 7Eleven and I grabbed some stuff. So, I got this new sneakers I’ve never seen before. I think it’s like some wheat or something. I don’t know. I also got these gummies. I’ve already tried them. They’re super good. I got this yogurt. I think it’s an yogurt. I don’t know, but I’m going to try it and see. And I had sandwich before, but I don’t know. I’m still kind of craving something, so I just got this like instant pasta carbonara. So, we’re going to see if it’s good. Yeah, I’m going to shower and pack some stuff because today is last day in the hotel. Tomorrow 8:00 p.m. I have my flight. Fortunately, I can leave the baggage here. So, I can just walk around until like 4 or something and then come back, take my stuff and go back to Taiwan. So, yeah. last day tomorrow. Of course. Of course. I will take you with me. So yeah, that’s it for now. Bye. This is how much I have trust issues when I solo travel. Yep. The last part is very true. I did this every night when I was in Osaka because I was so paranoid and I don’t know, this hotel kind of gave me a little bit cribs, but it was nice. Anyway, come back for day four, my last day in Osaka next time and I will see you soon. Bye.
