Shibria is super lively all the time, no matter it’s a holiday or is not because it’s the uh second busiest station in Japan. So the nightife area around Shibuya is really popular. Also it’s the biggest crossing in the world and everybody comes to the crossing to take photo and video because of that. And also uh there are many type of night life shops in Syria. So, I’m going to actually explain about night life in general in Japan. And then I’m going to show you some some shops and just explain a little. First, I think the most popular type of shop in Japanese Isakaya. So I think many of many of you guys know what I isakaya. You’ve been to isakaya. Hi in general is a drinking drinking place. And then oh it’s a bit windy. So in general, Isizakaya is a Japanese pub where you can eat, drink and chat. It’s more casual than a restaurant and is very uh loud usually because people drink a lot and in some of them you can actually smoke as well. about recently is uh the number of isizakaya that they let you smoke is getting less compared to the past. So and there are too many type of isizakaya in Japan. Different design, different theme, different concept, different sitting area. It’s so cool exploring isakaya in Japan. And every area, every prefecture has their own culture of izakaya. So even in Tokyo you can see a lot of isakaya from other which for example originally was originated from other prefectures they have it in Tokyo as well and they are really cool. So you can get all type of drinks in isizakaya. So yeah, is I think that’s the most popular one for drinking and also eating. Usually Isakaya has a charge system and they give you uh some food when you go in and that food has a price by default. It comes to your desk. It’s called ptoshi. And some of them is just salad, some of food, snack or any other stuff could be. And then maybe the second most popular night shop is Yoko. Yokoto is a is a Japanese word. It’s like a tiny alleyways that filled with old style bars like inaku. uh like but is I think is the one of the oldest one in Tokyo is the original one like also Shinjuku they are newer and they are more like a a new modern style of yoko. But the one in Ebiso, if you want to see the real one, the original one is the one in which is the oldest type of Yoko. And the good thing if you go to Yoko Jo, the seat arrangement is very cozy and is very uh close and then you can uh get engaging conversation easily with people around you. It’s very casual, very relaxed and it’s very fun. Then the third one is that is very popular is tachinomi. Tachinomi simply means standing bar. So standing bar also there are too many type of standing bar. Usually they have a a narrower space, but it’s also very Oh, I have to actually go to the other side. All right. So, a standing war usually is cheaper and you can stand and have a quick chat and drink with people around you. And it’s good for bar hopping because it’s cheap. You can try too many of them. So this area in Shu is super popular and I think it’s the most crowded. A lot of people come here because there are many isakaya bars and other shops in this area. So usually super crowded and super lively until morning. Somehow here also is a sleepless town. I’m going to walk in every corner tonight, but let’s let’s go from here. And then we have another another type of bar in Japanese called shatto. Shhat bar simply means shot bars. And the shot bars, it’s small bars focus on like a cocktail and whiskey usually and is more quiet and stylish. All right, I’m going to actually walk from here. This little alley is also cool. button. Nomi Hod Bar means all you can drink bar. So you pay a basic price and then you can just drink as much as you want and you get some free snacks too. There are some in Shibuya and everywhere I think. Oh yeah, I was explaining what the nightife shops in Japan in general. So then one of the other popular races in Japan that is running until morning is koke. Actually koke also you can get uh drink as well can get alcoholic drink and especially some people uh when they get drunk after that they will go singing and drinking again and they cannot stay until the morning. But car system price system is usually more expensive at night because of that a lot of people uh if they lose the last train they stay in a car. So car also it’s a good in a good business hotel for those time they uh they actually charge higher after midnight. And there are actually many live posters also in Chibuya and a lot of concerts like a underground concert hall idol stage music and stuff. A lot of them are going on. So this way sometime you see people lining up for those type of uh events. Also, there are many game centers that actually are open until morning. So, for a lot of game, you can actually play game after you eat and drink. You can continue having fun in some game centers. But also a lot of them are open only until uh uh midnight. disappear. This is another family m which is popular for uh drinking. People actually buy drinks here and then stay until late sometimes until morning. And you can see a lot of and then the issue that they have is the a lot of rubbish and stuff because there is a rubbish can inside each family mark but it’s not enough to cover all these tens. You got walking by. What’s up here? Looks like a Halloween. You can actually scan the barcode. Maybe it’s a it’s a music band or concert or I don’t shush bar recently is very popular in Japan since I think five six years ago. There are many actually shisha bar or hookah you can smoke and usually a lot of girls love it because of the smell. It smell really good. It smells really fruity and stuff. So and also uh usually it’s more it’s like a sexy type of shisha. It’s not like a normal shisha like in other countries. They usually the the girls serve you. It’s like a car’s bar with the sexy dress and then they uh prepare you the shisha with the smoke and it’s going to be it looks like a more mysterious. So and then those bar also recently are very popular. This is a device also. I’m going to show you to some other area. There are another type of isizakaya that is calledomi. So it means all you can eat, all you can drink uh with only one basic price. So, it’s usually cheaper and you can uh get a lot of food and drink for a basic cheap price. There is another category of uh night life in Japan. It’s called Isakia. Some of you guys might know about Isakia. Isaia means matchmaking restaurant is kind of bars. There are too many type of them as well. So in general is a place that stranger Men and women can sit together and they could be matched or they could just have a date, casual date and just leave. And most of them is free for women. The guy So that’s walk around this area. This is the Shiba crossing, the biggest crossing in the world. A lot of people they come here just to take some photos and videos. As you see, even a lot of uh now is a golden week. A lot of people from Japan come to Shibuya because a lot of Japanese might have never been to Tokyo. If they live in other side of other prefectures in Japan, usually golden week they come to Tokyo. So it’s not only foreigner, it’s a lot of a lot of local Japanese as well that they are that they are from other prefectures. All right, it’s very crowded. Let’s go check the Shibuya area as well. This is like a modern style of yoko. And like I said, the one if you want to see the real yuko, you have to see like a yuko which is the original yoko, the older style. And there are some other yuko in other places in Japan as well. But Yoko places like in Shibuyo which I show you in a few minutes or Shinjuku Yuko or like uh where where else Yoko Asaki Yoko they are new. There is also another cool old Yoko in Kichi harmonia Yoko. That one also is the cool area. This is it. It should be a Strombell Square building. All right, let’s go to Yuko. Should be a Yoko. So there are also made coffees everywhere. Recently I can see some made coffee actually open until uh night time. Made coffee usually is is a shop that the business hours is mostly focused on daytime but sometimes they are open at late night too. And because they don’t really serve alcohol much many of them, but some of them they do. And corn coffee. Corn coffee is also another type of uh night life shop. They serve alcohol. They have different type of design for girls dress and also the shop. So is inspired by anime and they also serve you drink as well. They have a system like for 40 minutes 2,000 3,000 all you can drink. But the tax system is complicated. It’s tricky is similar to gas bar which is another category. So, in a few minutes, we’re going to turn to turn left and we’re going to see Shiva Yoko. Shibuya is one of the biggest actually because it’s new is a wide area. It’s just under Mashta Park which is also a new shopping complex in Shibuy. They have a rooftop as well and it’s good for summer. It’s called in Japanese shitsuji kisa which means maybe simply in English it’s like a butler cafe which the handsome guys dress like butlers and serve you like it’s similar to actually uh host club but this one is a bit more specified. fight. So another deeper category of uh night life shops is uh it’s it’s similar to made coffee but more sexy, more flirty and you can drink there and enjoy conversation. with girls is Gar in general, but Gers also they have too many type too many type of uh design team and they are really creative to make uh customers but because it’s very competitive there are too many of them and that some of them they can’t survive if the system is not good. So I think there are at least maybe 30 type of night life shops in Japan. There are more maybe 50 60 but those that are more popular is about 30. So maybe I will make another video to specifically category hello categorize them and also explain them this area is very mysterious.
