How to Visit Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa (TOKYO JAPAN Trip Day 1)

Looking to plan a trip to Japan? Well, we’ve got you covered. We just got back from spending two weeks in Japan, and I’m going to share exactly what we did when we were there. It’s our first full day in Tokyo, and we’re starting at the famous Senuji Temple in Asaka. This is such a beautiful place to visit in the oldest temple in Tokyo, founded in the year 645. There are many colorful buildings and gardens. Don’t miss getting an omiuji there, which is a written fortune. Put a hundred yen offering into the coin box and then shake a metal box to receive a stick with a number on it. This corresponds to a drawer that has your fortune. There are good fortunes, bad fortunes, and average fortunes. I got an average one. Don’t worry if you get a bad one. You can tie it to a nearby stick and leave it all behind. This is also where I bought my Ghouin Cho. This is a special book where you can obtain gouin at each temple or shrine that you visit in Japan. People click them for spiritual connection to record a pilgrimage to various shrines and temples or as a souvenir of travels in Japan. Stay tuned for more from our first day in Tokyo in my next
