Exploring Fukuoka in a day—turtles, towers & tropicana 🍑🔥 #japan #travel #youtubeshorts

time. Here’s what I did on my first day in Fukuoka. I wake up, brush my teeth, and head 2 km to the first location, Kushida Shrine. It was boring, but it was a nice walk. I gave it a shrine out of 10. My next stop was 1.2 km away at Tenin Underground Mall. If you like shopping and trying different foods, I highly recommend this place. Not my type of thing, but I really like the way this place looked. 6 out of 10. Next, I headed 1 km over to Miseru Park and ate a sandwich. Then it was time to explore, take some pictures, and check out the Fukuoka Castle ruins. They were indeed ruins. Seven out of 10. Right next door was Oh Park. Beautiful pond, beautiful walk, lots of turtles. At the end of my walk, I was looking at turtles and koi, and I was rewarded by this beautiful song. He then showed me some cats, and this random dude gave me a compliment. What taco guy? 9 out of 10. On the way to Fukuoka Tower, I stopped at this park and ate some floppy chicken. Did inhumane things to this peach tropicana and sweated my ass off in the Japan summer heat. Literally nar. Really cool park though. 8 out of 10. My final stop was Fukuoka Tower. And honestly, it looks way cooler on the outside than it does on the inside. Especially as someone who’s been in infinite observation towers, they eventually all start looking the same. 6 out of 10. I then walked back to the hotel and finished the day off with only 18,000 steps and 9.5 miles. I rank this day a solid Peach Tropicana out of 10. Eight. I give it a name.

Here’s what I did on my first day in Fukuoka, Japan 🇯🇵 — 18,496 steps and 9.5 miles later, I explored everything from peaceful shrines to busy malls, scenic parks, ancient castle ruins, and ended the day sweating it out in the Japan summer heat.

👉 First stop: Kushida Shrine, a quiet walk and a shrine/10 experience.
👉 Then I hit up Tenjin Underground Mall — if shopping and food are your thing, this one’s for you.
👉 Maizuru Park & Fukuoka Castle Ruins offered some great views and history (even if the ruins were… ruined).
👉 Right next door: Ohori Park — turtles, koi, chill vibes, and even a surprise live performance and some cats.
👉 I grabbed lunch and a Peach Tropicana at a park before heading to Fukuoka Tower. The tower looks cooler outside than inside… but hey, it’s iconic.

This vlog has everything — turtles, tropicana, shrine ratings, and chaotic summer vibes. If you’re planning a trip to Japan, Fukuoka is definitely worth the stop. Walkable, packed with history, and full of surprises.
