🚇 Ever walked right above a subway line?

Have you ever walked above a subway line? In Nagoya, Japan, we followed the Sakura subway line on foot. Eight stations, 6.3 km from Taicodori to Imik. The city transforms as we go. From busy streets and glass towers to hidden alleys and local rhythms. At the heart of the walk, we arrive at Hisaya Odori Park, a peaceful green corridor running through the city center, often called Nagoya’s own central park. Cherry blossoms line the paths. And above them stands the iconic Nagoya TV tower, watching over the skyline like a silent guardian. No trains, just footsteps, light, and the sound of a city breathing. This is urban hiking in Japan and you’re walking right above the rails. Want to see the full journey?
