Kougetsu Kyo-kashi place × Hamada Sake Brewery

The Kaiko-Kaiko cocktail (1879 yen, including tax), served in a Kiyomizu ware vessel, is a cool and creamy cocktail with a shochu-like flavor. [Enjoy the pairing with Kohzuki’s baked buns and grapes, which have a fruity taste like freshly picked grapes.

One of the cocktails, “Kaiso”, is inspired by the “Cowboy”, a cocktail named after a horse that walks majestically through the capital of Kyoto in the “Jidai Matsuri” procession and a cowherd who rode his horse to take care of his cattle during the western frontier era. It is based on the Japanese spirit “Ukaze,” a barley shochu, to which milk is added to create a mellow flavor with a Japanese sake-like quality. To enjoy the harmony of the sweet aroma and sweetness characteristic of “Ukaze,” it is interesting to note that it is served with a lovely wagashi (Japanese confectionery) from Kyoto’s wagashi store, Kohzuki. Experience a new way to enjoy the pairing of shochu and Japanese sweets.
