Normally pictures that you see as advertisements show you an enhanced version of what you will actually find. Not so in Kada. The view from the small onsen was splendid and even better than the photo. We watched the amazing sunset while everyone else had dinner and we were completely mesmerized by it. The staff was very helpful and kind and had the most important information also in English. There is a shuttle to take you from the station to the onsen and if you don’t have a mobile phone, you can ask the guards at the station to call them for you. The Wi-Fi in our room was sometimes a bit laggy, but not as bad as other reviews complained, and maybe rather due to the stormy weather, and we were able to stream movies just fine. The onen facility was clean and provided lots of hygiene and skin care products. There are only two basins in the onen, both of them hot, but we only ever used the one outside with the view. If you want a great variety of baths, this might not be your place. Otherwise, Kata is an extremely quiet town. But if you like long walks, you can enjoy abundant nature, the old traditional houses and unique temples, as well as some small restaurants in the area. Otherwise, Wakayama is only 28 minutes by train. But why would you want to go to a city if you just escaped into a quiet and relaxing resort? For us, it was the perfect choice after some crowded and busy days in Tokyo in a good location for flying home from Canai airport, which took about 1, 5 to 2 hours from the onsen. Finally, the food was a splendid traditional Japanese breakfast with fish with many different dishes served in a room with a lovely view. For dinner, we went out to other places, but most of the other guests stay at the Katada restaurant, which can be included in the booking. Very decent place to relax. I love the hotel so much. Exceptional staffs were very helpful. C view was awesome. Great nice
