Japan’s Best Museum?! – #cupnoodle #osaka #osakatravelguide

This is the OG place where Nissen and Cup Noodles were invented, and they take it very seriously. Eating noodles in space, damn it. You’re going to love this wall of packaging. You’re asked to then sit down and then customize the outside of your cup noodle. Then you’re taken to this very peoplely queue to get it topped up with your favorite toppings and flavors. And then you get this really sick bag to put it in. This is awesome. It’s not exactly local in Osaka, but it is quite cool and it is a really nice day out.

This is the best food museum in the world! – This is the Cup Noodle Museum in Ikeda, just outside Osaka, Japan. This small dedicated museum shows the history and importance of instant noodles. Cup Noodles are just as important as local currency. It’s abundant and has so many competitors. The museum even shows astronauts eating it in space, packaging history and of course you can design and create your own from a vending machine.

This is a very special experience in Japan. If you are visiting Osaka or Kyoto, I recommend taking the time out of your travel itinerary to visit the Cup Noodles Museum in Ikeda. You won’t regret it.
