Kyushu by Bus a day trip in Japan

[Music] So yeah, this is a really cool shrine. Okay, he must be where So the first step that she also taught us in the bus is to wash your hands, your mouth and your soul. So you do that first and then you make your offering and wish to the temple. So that’s step one. Done. Okay, maybe the video is better now. Didn’t realize actually how dark it is in here. of me doing okay. Sounds like I’m getting close. Look how cool it is. It’s all misty up here. But yeah, actually the rain’s really nice. It’s given this nice and mystic look. It’s just I don’t want to get this camera wet. I don’t think it’s waterproof. Then off to the next place. Wow, that’s enough for opening. Don’t know how much further this goes. Also looks like you can leave some money here. So, I might leave a 10-centent piece. Except there’s another offering box in there, too. It’s on my phone now because it’s raining a lot. So, I just did my prayer. I don’t know if I did it right because I can’t remember what she was telling us on the bus. I forgot to film it. So, I probably did it wrong. So, knowing my luck, nothing will come from it. But yeah, she said there was something you could buy like little amulets or charms, which I actually do buy a lot of them. I know last time I bought heaps. Not all of them work, but some of them do. So, yeah. Hopefully this rain eases up for our next spot. How much moss are on these statues? How cool is that? So, I end up getting one. It’s quite big, actually. I don’t want to break my phone. Look how nice that is. It’s actually really beautiful. Um, I hope there aren’t stops for the next places. Okay, let’s see. And if it had just been like raining lightly, it wouldn’t be too bad cuz it kind of suits this vibe. But um heavy rain, it’s not so calm. Also, I hope my camera is not getting too wet. Um yeah, look at this park. This place is actually really nice. Even with the rain, I don’t mind it. It kind of suits the vibe here. Definitely suits it. Oh, [Applause] yeah. Okay. So, this might be the place she was talking about where we can eat. She mentioned something about hamburgers and hot dogs. What is that? This is actually really nice. Um, again, the rain kind of fits the vibes here. Uh, it’s just too heavy. Like a light sprinkle shower would be absolutely fine. And also, just wait till uh you get into the deeper months of autumn. And all of this is probably going to be orange, yellow. It’ll be like really really nice. Almost just slipped backwards. Would have cracked my head open. It’s not how I want to end my last day in Kyushu. That’s nature. It’s actually crazy cuz I just came back from Madera and I didn’t do any of these walks like Lavvada walks. This is very similar to what they would be like. Um I didn’t do any there but doing one in uh Japan. So at least that makes up for it. Okay, so now we turn the corner and here we are. Beautiful. Wow, this is amazing. Okay, I said I know there was no video on the way back, but it actually looks so much better and it’s less crowded. Uh, I’ve already packed my camera away. I’m just going to have to use the iPhone. It was really nice. Really nice. Look at that exit. It’s all misty. This is actually perfect time to see these places, I reckon. Yes, it might be wet. Just gives it that nice atmosphere. How nice and cold again. Another close call. It’s actually pretty cool. And it’s also very nice. And it’s right next to our bus. So, I have like 10 minutes to check this out. It’s just this stairway. Still nice. I won’t go up cuz yeah, it’s raining and I got to get on my bus so far. So good. One more place to go. It’s probably the reason I booked the whole tour in the first place cuz I heard about it and then after that it’s like a probably a 3 or 4 hour drive back to Fukoka. The good thing is is it’s raining. It’s perfect for ramen. Last day in Fukoka. We’ll get some ramen. It’s raining still. And there’s a good 40minute walk to get down. So, where we got to go and the guy’s like, “Don’t get lost because we won’t be able to find you.” I want to film this walk down. But all you will see in the video is umbrellas cuz it’s just me at the back. Huge line of the tour group all following each other. show you. That’s my view right now. Super slippery. You come here in the rain. Be careful. Walking down these stairs. I’ve got to take it easy. Another four. Wow. This place is amazing. So slippery though. I’m so scared cuz I don’t have any hands to hold the rail and I know it’ll be painful if I sleep. But I’m going to stop talking about slipping because if I keep mentioning it, I might manifest it. So no more slipping. [Music] You can just hear the water. Oh, okay. That’s what everyone was lining up for. That shot down in there. Here we go. Finally got a spot. [Music] Wow. Wow. So good. This angle is actually probably a bit [Music] nicer. Yeah, look at that. It’s nice Instagram post. Oh, okay. Yes, that was only the uh scratching the surface. Have a look at here. You probably can’t see yet in the video. Okay, now I think that’s it. I think that’s it. There might be a shrine around here somewhere, too. Then there’s a shuttle bus, which I think all those people are waiting for. So, those are the boats you can get if you want if it’s not raining. Be lovely. How nice this spot is. How cool is this in the middle of like Ah, there goes my umbrella again. Just clipped me in the head. How cool is this in the middle of like the forest on a nice rainy day. You just go in. It’ be so cozy. Fortunately, looks like it’s mostly fish and I don’t like fish. So, I’ll give that a pass. But yeah, looks really nice. I don’t know if you can hear that. Some sirens going off. I don’t like the sound of that. Just right when we’re supposed to be leaving back for our shuttle. Hopefully, it’s nothing serious cuz yeah, I just want to get home, have a shower, and get ready for leaving tomorrow. [Music] So better than the one I had the other day. Oh, can’t wait. So that was the ramen shop. Man, that was as good as it’s hyped up to be. It’s much better than the ramen I had the other day. And it’s inside the uh train station. So yeah, back from the trip. It was rainy, wet, but now I feel all nice and warm inside after that ramen. Perfect day for it. Um, I’m filming this on my phone because when I opened up my bag, uh, my camera fell out of the case and it was wet. So, I guess that’s the Kumamoto luck coming back. Hopefully, it still works. But if not, well, could be the last episode. So, this is Fuka Dam off to Okinawa tomorrow. And maybe Okinawa will be uploaded. Maybe not. Wait and see.

In this video I took a day trip exploring 3 locations in the Kyushu Region of Japan.
1st stop of the trip was Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine which is also the setting of the anime Hotarubi no Mori e.
2nd stop was Amanoiwato Shrine followed by the final stop which was Takachiho Gorge. Then I finish the day with a nice bowl of Ramen back in Fukuoka. Despite the rain it was still a wonderful trip. I hope you enjoy the video.
