Tokyo Golden Week 2025: Asakusa Walking Tour [4K/HDR/Binaural]
It’s Golden Week in Japan—a time when streets come alive with energy, and Asakusa is no exception. Today, we’re diving into the heart of this iconic Tokyo neighborhood, surrounded by crowds, culture, and a contagious sense of celebration. We walk through the towering Kaminarimon Gate, stroll down the bustling Nakamise Shopping Street, and find ourselves at the grand Senso-ji Temple. But the journey doesn’t end there. We explore the side alleys and quieter lanes, catching glimpses of both the old-world charm and the modern-day pulse of Asakusa. Join me for a festive walk through one of Tokyo’s most beloved neighborhoods.

We get such beautiful views from your lens — and with crowds like what we see here, all the better that we can simply float right above them as needed to fully enjoy the scene. I really appreciate the great work you do.
Asakusa has lots of interesting things to see, but the crowds really ruin the experience. Luckily I have seen it and can mark it off the list of places I want to visit so that I can avoid it on future trips. As a side note there is a small amusement park there that was fun and wasn't full of people.
