A Newbury Japanese restaurant has announced it will be reopening this summer.

Arigato originally opened in the former Britannia Building Society building on Bridge Street in July 2017.

After a successful few years it closed at the end of December 2021 due to ‘the current condition and outlook’.

A statement says the popular eatery will be reopening to customers in Newbury.

It said: “Chef George is delighted to announce the reopening of ARIGATO Restaurant in Newbury this spring/summer.

“Step into our warm, welcoming space where flavour takes centre stage and every dish is crafted passionately. Whether you’re craving comfort food with a modern twist or eager to explore bold, adventurous flavours, our menu is designed to delight every palate.

“We can’t wait to share this delicious journey with you.”
