Things to Do on Miyajima Island – Trip from Hiroshima – Avoid the Crowds! – Japan vlog 2024 🇯🇵⛩️🦌

Our 24 hour stay on Miyajima Island / Itsukushima – Overnight stay and early morning visit to the Torii Gate.

– We show you how to get the ferry from Hiroshima to Miyajima from the Peace Park 🚢
– We visit the local deer and the 5 storey Pagoda 🦌🏯
– We check out the autumn foliage in Miyajima Park 🍂
– Then take the ropeway cable car up to Mount Misen and the observatory for incredible views 🚠🗻
– We hike down through the ancient forests, visiting Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples including the impressive Dashoin Temple 🏯🌲🌲
– Then we check out the local speciality street food including oysters / okonomiyaki yakitori and Momiji manju rice cakes 🍡🦪🍁
– There’s a tour of our hotel for the night – Hotel Miyajima Villa with it’s Onsen and wood panelled rooms ♨️
– We have some local IPA beer before an evening boat cruise to see the floating Torii gate at night 🍺🛥️⛩️
– Our evening meal at the hotel is a buffet style including some amazing meat and more oysters 🦪🥩🐟
– The next morning we get up early before the first ferry to see Itsukushima Shrine and the Torii gate without crowds and get beautiful sunrise views ⛩️🌅🏯
