Tokyo Disney Resort is operated by the Oriental Land Company under a license from The Walt Disney Company. On April 28, Oriental Land announced that it is considering large-scale developments at the resort. These include a renewal of theme park areas by fiscal year 2035.
Vision for the Future
In an online press conference, President Wataru Takahashi stated that the company’s goal is “to provide excitement and wonder that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.”

Since the project is still in the conceptual stage, specific details have not yet been revealed. However, to meet strong demand, the company is planning to introduce a second cruise ship and expand its hotel offerings. It also intends to increase investment to enhance the resort’s overall appeal, with a goal of surpassing ¥1 trillion JPY (approximately $7 billion USD) in annual sales by fiscal year 2035.
According to existing plans, redevelopment will begin in Tokyo Disneyland’s Tomorrowland. A complete renewal of Space Mountain and its surrounding area is scheduled for 2027. The company also revealed conceptual images for additional area updates.
President Takahashi expressed excitement about the resort’s future. He said they will “introduce a variety of new content every year,” including new attractions and special events.
