You know Japan is giving away free houses…
When I was stationed there (78-82) if I wasn't working, I was at the bowling alley, and they had 2 buildings side by side. The smaller building was built using the bowling equipment and lanes after they closed Naha the lanes weren't sanctioned for leagues because they were not straight, so it was just used for open bowling. My filipina wife was a good bowler oh yea we had to keep our own paper score……good old days. cheers 🙂

Wow, the beach scenes are fantastic ! As I recall, Clark Air Base was in a category of its own. As THE American logistics hub in Asia, it was MEGA-important. As a home away from home it held a very special place in the hearts of we who served there. However, if I had been to Okinawa a few more times, especially with free time in the daylight hours . . . I mighta let my loyalties split, but NOT split apart. The views of Pinatubo on my drives to work, or Mount Arayat on the way home will always be with me. The grace and acceptance of the Phillipino people is still among the most important in my life. Watching your videos has opened my eyes to these other places that I have been to, but never got a chance to explore. Thanks JR . . . Have you ever thought about going to Korea again ?
