Osaka’s street food | Tour of Dotonbori πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ Tennoji Zoo | Family Vlog in Japan

A Wild Day in Osaka | Tennoji Zoo & Dotonbori Nightlife | Japan Vlog

Join us for an unforgettable day in Osaka, Japan! We kick things off with a visit to Tennoji Zoo – a lovely, relaxed way to spend the afternoon. The zoo is home to a wide range of animals, and we had such a nice time exploring and soaking in the atmosphere.

As the sun sets, we head to Dotonbori – and wow, this place truly comes alive at night! Neon lights, massive signs, and an energy you just have to experience for yourself. We grabbed a photo with the iconic Glico Running Man before diving into Osaka’s famous food scene.

We started with Yakiniku – a Japanese BBQ where you grill your own meat right at your table. While the experience was fun and unique, I’ll be honest… it was a bit pricey for what you get, and the meat was just okay.

Then came the street food! Dotonbori is world-famous for it – and for good reason. I tried Takoyaki (fried balls of batter with octopus inside – a local favourite), but… they weren’t my thing. The fishy, chewy octopus taste didn’t sit well with me!

Sarah had a cheesy 10 yen coin snack with the most insane cheese pull, and it was delicious. But Callum’s custard-filled version? Even better.

Thanks so much for watching! Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe to follow along with our Japan adventure!

  1. Yakiniku is amazing. You dont need to spend huge money for a large amount, best restaurants in tsuruhashi.Takoyaki is also amazing along with okonomiyaki lol. I guess its what you like and maybe as a first timer i wasnt as impressed but subsequently loved these foods

  2. Loved the Vlog It set me up for the weekend and you certainly pack loads in. The food in those boxes wow
! look forward to your hotel review Stay Safe

  3. Really glad you tried yakiniku! But for anyone going to Japan for the first time, you don't need to go to any expensive yakiniku restaurants or fancy-looking set menus. I highly recommend the chain called Gyukaku. Could've had a very filling meal there for the same price (or much cheaper), and still amazing quality. Also don't overcook the meats, Japanese barbecue requires a lot less cooking than western barbecues. Just sear both sides and it'll be ready. I hope you'll give yakiniku another go! There are some great ones across many UK cities.
