Liverpool will head to Japan during their preseason tour this year in what will be their first-ever summer visit to the country, the English club announced Monday.
The dates and opponents of the preseason matches are to be announced in due course for the runaway Premier League leaders, who count Japan captain and midfielder Wataru Endo in their squad.

“I’m really happy about it,” Endo said on Liverpool’s official website. “I’m so excited to be going to Japan with my teammates, and I’m really looking forward to it.”
Liverpool will play AC Milan in Hong Kong on July 26 before arriving in Japan. They last visited Asia in 2023 when they played in Singapore.
“I know there are a lot of Liverpool fans in Japan, as well as Premier League fans, so I believe everyone is really looking forward to it,” Endo said. “I hope all the Liverpool fans in Japan fully enjoy the team’s visit.”
