We visited Zao Onsen Ski Resort in Yamagata again this year!
Last year, there was very little snow, and the famous snow monsters were small and cute.
But this season brought heavy snowfall, and the snow monsters were massive and full of impact!
On the first day, we had great weather and were able to enjoy skiing between the towering monsters.
From the second day, it started snowing heavily, so we stayed on the lower slopes and enjoyed snowboarding there.
Even if you don’t ski or snowboard, Zao Onsen Ski Resort is a fantastic place to visit as a sightseeing destination.
It’s quite a trip from Tokyo, but definitely worth experiencing at least once!
