How to Take Our Trains

From Shinjuku to Hakone ( Mar. 2023〜)
・Limited Express Surcharges: 1,200yen (e-tickets: 1,150yen)
・Regular Fare: 1,270yen
About 80min.

If you want to go to Hakone or Odawara cheaper,
you can take Express train, Not limited express. No need Romance car surcharge, and you’ll see locals life style.
From Shinjuku to Odawara, about 90min. And Odawara to Hakone-yumoto, about 15min.

The railway company suggests to get “Hakone freepass”, discount ticket including round fare from Shinjuku to Hakone.

you go to Tokyo, and transfer to JR Chuou Line.
Or, you go to Nippori, transfer to JR Yamanote Line.

箱根でどんな風景が見られるのか？
このコンテンツはそんな疑問に答える動画です。
古くからの定番の大涌谷、観光パンフレットに必ず載っている芦ノ湖から見える富士山、
インスタ映えでチョー人気の箱根神社、
ほかには、地味だけど気になる石畳の山道、行ったら面白い五百羅漢の寺を収録しています。
女子ウケする動画を目指すならスイーツと美術館も必須だったのでしょうが、とても時間が足りません。

撮影は2024年秋で、都内から日帰りで２日通いました。
箱根は意外に広いので、この動画に収録された全ての場所を日帰りで制覇するのは公共交通機関だけでは難しいと思います。ましてや日帰り温泉にも入りたいとなると、やはり最低２日は必要だと思います。

印象として箱根は今、いつでも込み合っています。
リーズナブルな宿泊先を箱根で確保するのは時期によっては難しいかもしれません。
この場合の私からの提案ですが、手前の小田原で宿泊するのはどうでしょうか？
１泊２日の１日目の夜に日帰り温泉施設に入り、小田原まで戻って駅前で食事という日程です。
海の幸が小田原は豊富ですので、箱根で食事をするよりも選択肢が多いかもしれません。
小田急線の駅で買える「箱根フリーパス」は小田原から箱根湯本までは乗り放題ですので、交通費が増えることはありません。箱根湯本から小田原までは所要15分です。
往路を新宿駅からロマンスカーで行く場合は朝８時前後の便で出かけた方がいいです。10時だと箱根を回れない可能性があります。

なお、日本在住の方にはロマンスカーの座席はスマートホンで予約しておくことをお勧めします。
