Do you know what red ginger is? In Japan, you’ll often find it next to various dishes — for example, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, beef bowls, fried rice, and more.
Red ginger is sour and delicious. It works best when just a little bit is added to a dish.

But today, I had a snack that recreates the taste of red ginger. And it does a great job — that strong sourness is spot on.

It’s not something I could eat as a main food. I think my mouth would go crazy if I ate too much of it — like eating only pickles!
