A flying car is seen during the first demonstration flight for the World Exposition in Osaka in the city’s Konohana Ward on April 14, 2025. The Hexa aircraft produced by U.S. company Lift Aircraft Ltd. took off at around 11 a.m. from a port at the Expo venue with one pilot aboard and circled a little over 10 meters above the ground before landing some 6 minutes later. The roughly 2.4-meter-tall, 4.5-meter-long one-person vehicle was adorned to resemble the Myaku-Myaku official mascot for the Expo. According to Japanese trading house giant Marubeni Corp., which conducted the demo flight, the flying car is scheduled to make two to three flights daily primarily on weekends between April and July.
