The third edition of ISM Japan, the International Sweets and Snacks Trade Fair, is currently taking place at Tokyo Big Sight from 15 to 17 April 2025. As the only dedicated sweets and snacks trade fair in East Asia, ISM Japan is held alongside “Anuga Select Japan” – part of the globally recognised Anuga series – as well as “FABEX Tokyo,” “Premium Food Show,” and “ProWine Tokyo.” The joint event is attracting significant attention from industry professionals across the region.

Building on its international momentum, ISM Japan 2024 featured exhibitors from 15 countries. This year’s edition is expected to surpass that, with increases in both the number of participating countries and total exhibitors. The event continues to establish itself as a key platform for confectionery industry insights under the globally respected ISM brand, which is also behind the world’s largest sweets and snacks trade fair in Cologne, Germany.

This year’s programme includes expert-led seminars from Innova Market Insights, offering insights under the theme “Global Confectionery Trends 2025.” Attendees will also hear a historical perspective on cacao – the essential ingredient in chocolate – from a Professor Emeritus of Hiroshima University.

With rising inbound tourism and increasing trade activity, Japan’s confectionery market is more dynamic than ever. ISM Japan continues to serve as a vital business matching hub for companies and professionals in the sweets and snacks sector, both domestically and across East Asia.
