The Garden of To-ji Temple in Kyoto, Japan, served as the enchanting backdrop for Dior’s annual pre-fall collection. Actor Sonam Kapoor has been sharing snaps of herself wearing Christian Dior pieces from the city of Kyoto. In her latest look, Sonam wore an ensemble from the Pre-Fall 2025 presentation, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri. Styled by Rhea Kapoor and Abhilasha Devnani, Sonam’s dress was designed beautifully in tune with the surroundings. It featured floral patterns on chiffon fabric, and soothing pastel tones. Her was styled into a single braid, while winged eyeliner, blushed cheeks, and glossy pink lips completed her look. She accessorised with a black Lady Dior bag.
Earlier, She wore a structured black jacket with a high collar and button-down front, cinched neatly at the waist with a belt. It was layered over a crisp white shirt and paired with a sleek black midi pencil skirt. A white Lady Dior bag provided a striking contrast, while black stilettos tied the look together.
Rumours have been circulating regarding potential changes within Dior’s creative team. As reported by WWD, Christian Dior first presented his collections in Japan in 1953, and the house has maintained a deep cultural connection with the country ever since. In a statement published by WWD, Maria had said, “In the early 1950s, Christian Dior began collaborating with a Kyoto-based silk workshop: he subsequently designed a series of looks for his haute couture collection which he cut in the precious Japanese textile.”
Sonam Kapoor was named Dior’s brand ambassador in October of last year, and since then, she has been seen at numerous shows for the iconic French Maison. During the Paris Haute Couture Week in January, she attended the Dior show in an outfit from its Spring-Summer 2025 collection.
She wore a sheer bandeau dress, paired with a faux fur coat from Dior’s Resort 2025 collection, complemented by knee-length boots.
