Pontocho Alley Kyoto is one of the must-visit tourist spots when you are here. It is no doubt that anyone staying in the main Kyoto downtown area will somehow find themselves walking through this unique alley.

The Pontocho Alley stretches for almost two kilometres long and is narrow with food joints on both sides. On weekends, this place becomes an extremely busy area with hundreds of people walking through. You will find all kinds of Japanese and foreign food here, but the prices here are catered to tourists, so be prepared to pay a little more.
