I took an overnight ferry from Sendai in Miyagi Prefecture to Tomakomai in Hokkaido.
After that, I traveled to Hakodate and enjoyed some delicious seafood.

    Currently i am planning a tour in Japan for April/May 2026. That tour will start in Tokyo, arriving on Haneda coming in from Amsterdam. It will include this ferry from Sendai to Hokkaido, then by train to Hakodate and from there on another ferry to Aomori. The complete tour will take around four weeks and i try to visit as many cities and scenaries as possible, including a visit to Fuji-san and the great city of Kyoto. What a coincidence that you now took this ferry on yourself. I stole the idea of this ferry from another Youtuber who has a Japan travel vlog. And now my favourite Japan Youtube Channel (you) did it! Many thanks for the insights and all your videos which inspired me to do this tour. Arigato, my friend! And maybe i will see you in 2026 ๐Ÿ™‚

    The ocean scares me but this ferry ride looks so peaceful. Hopefully I can conquer my fear one day and take a trip ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ™
