Top Things to do in Osaka – Japan Travel Guide 2024 🇯🇵

This is a travel guide for our visit to Osaka 🎌. Including good itinerary options – best areas to visit and what local food to try. From the American Village to Dotonbori Canal – explore the neon lights of Namba 🚥 with us and get nice views from the Don Quijote Ferris Wheel! 🎡

Watch us try the local Osaka speciality of Okonomiyaki and other great street foods you can find. We also check out the famous Lion Head Namba Shrine and the retro neighbourhood of Shinsekai. We play old carnival shooting games and try another local dish – Kushikatsu.

As the rain starts to pour ⛈️ we look at some good indoor activity options like Harukas 300 Observatory 🏙️ and the Osaka Aquarium. 🐟

After that we have a look at Osaka Castle and how to get there 🏯and then travel to the Umeda area of Osaka. Famous for it’s modern shopping options 🛍️ we visit the large Pokémon and Nintendo stores there 🎮 – before checking the massive Namco arcade. 🕹️

Finally we get the best views across Osaka at the Umeda Sky Building – an impressive building with the worlds tallest escalator! And an incredible view to match. 🌇
