The Japan Series // Osaka and Ginza

Music provide by BuGuMiWe’re wrapping our time in Japan with a trip to Osaka and then it’s back to Tokyo and Ginza before heading home. We started our stay in Dotonbori with its bars, street food and the famous neon Glico Man sign. We met up with a guide who took us around side streets and showed us parts of Osaka we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. We ended with the night with Okonomiyaki, a Japanese savory pancake. We went full tourist mode and and signed up for Go Karts at Akiba Kart, where we zipped around the streets of Osaka. It was hot in our costumes but the breeze cooled us off as we drove. And we had a blast picking up speed on the straightaways. 10 out of 10, would recommend. We toned it down with a visit to Osaka Castle, built in 1583 and destroyed and rebuilt by Tokugawa forces in 1615. Then we were back on the Shinkansen to Tokyo. We stayed in Ginza for some shopping before heading back to the airport and home. It was such an amazing trip and we can’t wait to go back to this wonderful country!
