  1. May the world never have to see the capability of a weapon as destructive as the Atomic Bomb ever again.

Anyway, thanks Adam and SunShine for bringing us viewers along on your Japanese excursion.

  2. 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and grated

    1 tablespoon brown sugar
    Salt and pepper, to taste

    2 tablespoons water

2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter an 8-by-8-inch baking pan.

    2. Place the grated potatoes in mixing bowl. Add the sugar, salt, pepper. Place in the mixing bowl and smooth the top of the mixture with the back of a spoon.

    3. Sprinkle the water over the top of the potatoes. Dot with butter.

Bake until the potatoes are soft and brown on top, about 45 minutes. Cut into squares and serve.

  3. If the weather hadn't been crap over Kobe, Nagasaki would have been fine.

OH edit I was told for decades that KOBE was the Little Boy target…?
Kobe is a HUGE steel city..

Kokura? huh.. ? Was I wrong.. or Google?

I've triple checked and it appears that I was wrong.

Kobe was never destined for nuclear shmelting…

I wonder why that was so burned into my memory.

I remember why it sticks in my memory, because when I was told, I remember thinking that my 1977 Yamaha would not have any wheels as they were made in Kobe.

  4. The remnant of that church at ground zero was a Catholic cathedral, and the community there has since rebuilt it to resemble the construction of the original. It's a bit of a silver lining in the midst of the tragedy. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Adam

  5. well the wife and I live in CA, so those homes are probably accurate. LOL. 'meat meat udon' looked legit though. would never miss a Japan trip video!
