Kousuke Atari
28th March 2025 – (Tokyo) Kousuke Atari, a 44-year-old Japanese singer known for his role in the Taiwanese film Cape No. 7, was arrested early this morning in a bathhouse in Gotanda, Tokyo, on charges of non-consensual intercourse.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred around 2amwhen Atari allegedly assaulted a man in his twenties who was sleeping in a chair. The victim reacted quickly, apprehending Atari and alerting the bathhouse staff, who then contacted the authorities.
Atari’s management expressed regret over the arrest, stating they had not yet been able to reach him but were actively monitoring the situation. They also issued an apology to the victim. Born in Amami Oshima, Kagoshima, Atari began his music career in 2006, finding fame the following year with his hit song “Hana.” He has also contributed to popular anime soundtracks and featured in Cape No. 7 in 2008.
