[HD] 130km/h! A RAILWAY SUPERHIGHWAY! Front View of a 225 Series on JR West’s SPECIAL RAPID SERVICE

Hello, and Welcome Back to the Kansai Region!

In this video, we take the signature commuter train of JR West, the Special Rapid Service. We ride from Kobe Station to Kyoto Station on a fine weekday afternoon. Buckle up as we blast through stations at up to 130km/h (81mph).

The Kobe Line and the Kyoto Line are monikers for the western sections of the Tokaido Main Line which stretches all the way from Kobe to Tokyo via Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, and Yokohama. From Kobe, virtually all trains continue as through services in either direction. This service originated all the way in Himeji (55km/34mi west of Kobe) and is bound for Yasu, some 30km (19mi) east of Kyoto. In total, the journey of this train will have lasted around 161km (100mi).

I’ve been lagging behind in uploads lately due to a Laryngitis bug. Once it resolves by next week, I should be able to talk in my videos again and speak normally. For now, I can get by uploading whichever videos that do not require narration.
