Tourists need to understand that different countries have different cultures and way of life. If you are to visit another country, tourists please show respect. Japan is a wonderful and amazing country.

The problem isn’t just in Japan, as an Australian I see it a lot here as well, not intending to be racist but generally there is a large wave of rich Chinese tourists that come here, and they have no respect for our wildlife, sometimes I’ll see them just destroying reefs and other natural structures
The thing that is hilarious to me is that the people around the world who criticizes GENTRIFICATION, they have forgotten that in other countries and continents they're a lot of their homelands living in those countries, like in LATAM, like in Mexicans and Argentins are fighting against tourists and home offices in those countries by foreigners but they has forgotten that they're a lot f Mexicans and argentino in USA and Europe, it's a joke
I'm sorry that tourists are damaging and disrespecting your beautiful cities. They would be the first to complain if it were reversed. They should also be told to clean their rubbish up.
Japanese goverment should provide a lot of trash bin in front of conbini market or infront of public toilet. And cleaning service worker . If no tourist japanese will be poor country . We all know it. Japan must adapt to the situation and have tolerant for others. If not japan should be like north korea.
People treat Japan like an amusement park for some reason ?? It’s like any other country with social rules, religious customs, and own set of flaws. People think it’s just a setting to their vacation and don’t think of it as a place where people live. I’d never make Japan my permanent home but while I’m living here I’m on my best behavior BECAUSE it’s not my home.
That being said I’ve seen Japanese people smoke where it says not to and make piles of beer cans on the street 😂
I no longer enjoy traveling due to mass tourism.
My father used to say….'Always leave a place better than when you came." It is very disrespectful to ignore the rules in another's space. Japan is beautiful because of this way of life.

Rampant overcrowding was already an issue before the influx of tourism.
The trash problem in Japan is partially because it is so hard to find trash bins. The only reason I was able to survive, was I read about that early and brought extra plastic bags to carry garbage til I found a trash bin.

I'm absolutely against ignoring a country's rules and culture but at the same time, Japan is so innocent and far away from what 99% of the world consider normal (like smoking on the street) 😅 we gotta protect Japan at all cost!
I packed my trash around with me until I found the appropriate disposal bins. It's not rocket science. Littering is terrible anywhere.

We were in Japan in 2018 and before we went we researched all the important social rules. Never had any problems beside once with not being able to leave a trainstation but that was our fault(different ticketing system).
I am American and the disrespect is beyond belief at gas stations I have seen on c walls and bathrooms in Spanish I am originally from California graffiti is everywhere and the drug use and crime is very high .phetanol is brought in to the US from Mexico and California has human waste and drug needles are everywhere.Foriegners from some countries bring high and they can destroy your country.Japan needs to get the money from somewhere else or at least limit the tourism or eliminate it.
The downside of tourism. People really should learn about the culture of the countr they are visiting as a courtesy and respect. But then, as he says, these are "entitled" people.

I am respectful of Japan culture and I learn Japanese culture from book and YouTube videos. and I dislike people who disrespect Japanese culture and throw trash on the ground or on the train. I'm from Canada.
