THE BEST JAPANESE TAIKO DRUMMERS, WADAIKO KOKUBU | MANYOU BOTANICAL GARDEN HANGING WISTERIA

We paid another visit to Nara. This time to see the Wadaiko Kokubu Japanese drum group. It’s a group of the best taiko drummers I’ve seen led by Mr Chiaki Toyama. Their Japanese taiko drum performance was amazing.

This video has been one of my biggest undertakings. It’s the most Japanese I’ve ever featured in a vlog and I had to scrutinise the translation which I wrote myself. My Japanese level is low conversational so it was a bit of a challenge to capture the nuances of his words. But this is one of my best vlogs because of it, I think.
