How to see Japan’s Snow Monkeys | NAGANO

There are two main methods to visit the famous snow monkeys in Nagano, Japan via public transport. Express bus (what we did in this vlog) or going via train + local bus. The start point for both are from Nagano Dentetsu Line.

Buy your tickets from Nagano station at the machines at Nagano Dentetsu Line on your day of travel then take the east exit for the express bus. Bus stops 23 and 24 go to the snow monkey park.

Be sure to check the Jigokudani website for up to date information about the snow monkey park: https://en.jigokudani-yaenkoen.co.jp/

To get to Zenkoji Temple, you can either take the bus, train or simply walk to the temple straight from Nagano Station.

  1. Hey everyone ๐Ÿ‘‹ All our videos from now including this Japan series is shot in 4K ๐Ÿ˜ We hope you'll enjoy the sharpness especially for those of you who like to watch our vlogs on a big screen ๐Ÿ˜Š Let us know what you think ๐Ÿ‘

  2. Nagano time!!! I have to say, I have a much deeper appreciation for Peterโ€™s limited edition jackets in these videos now… Highly fashionable and profit yielding in one trendy package ๐Ÿ˜‚. Sounds like the congestion from Nagoya was still lingering for Yen in Nagoya.. hope it didnโ€™t affect your time there. Saw a vid on the monkeys in Nagano many years ago and thought they were so interestingโ€ฆ. really cool to see the whole experience through your vid! As always, great job on giving the facts of the location..I have full confidence they are 100% accurate ๐Ÿ˜. Glad you guys got to see some baby monkeys as well ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜. Donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve ever seen pics of Zenkoji Temple.. very impressive. Beautiful shots! Thanks for the vid guys! Hope all is wellโ€ฆ now I want to eat some warabi mochi ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  3. Love the intro music ahead of each section, it is so soothing
So cute the emphasis at the mochy @9:14
The brown color against the white, really nice, I suspect it is the Fuji sensor working its magic, nice
Enza cafe looks for inviting and the pastries looks so nice and light

Will be looking out at Northface (Auckland)ย
for the cap that Yen and Peter (last week) is wearing (wore), pretty handy for ppl that wear glasses as Beanie would be less comfortable

Thanks for a lovely peaceful vlog

    Have a great week yeah

  4. Oh the snow monkeys are on my bucket list haha! Glad to see you had a good time. Also Amazake is great I discovered it on my last Japan trip haha.

  5. Yes, the video quality is very good, but I think that the sound quality is quite bad now. For example at 7.33 Yen talks about the snack but it's hard to understand her. Your new mic has a lot of noise like rumbling etc. You'd better use the old mic with the new camera …

  6. Clarity of this video is great. Love this vlog. monkeys are so cute too n the mochi look so good๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ

  7. Another great videos! I look forward to having a 4K TV at some point to watch your videos in all their glory.
You produce great travel vlogs, Iโ€™m glad youโ€™re still making them.

  8. Loved this vlog, as always ๐Ÿ˜Š I watch many nature shows, and I don't recall many where there are so many monkeys. Would have been an experience, for sure. Thanks for sharing your trip, they always put a ๐Ÿ˜Š on my face.
