Ltd., a manufacturer and seller of Kyoto’s famous confections, such as Nama Yatsuhashi Otabe and Kyo-baamu (Kyoto sweets), will introduce a new product on March 14, 2025 (Friday): a five-pack of Fluffy Otabe. The catchphrase for this new product, which was born 12 years after its conception, is “The texture is so fluffy that even angels are surprised. The new product has a completely different texture and color from the previous otabe products. The product is made with azuki beans purchased from contract farmers in Tokachi, Hokkaido, and Japanese butter. The smooth, mellow taste of the butter is popular among people of all ages. The dough, which is twice as thick as usual, is made of fine-grained glutinous rice flour combined with meringue to create a fluffy texture.
