For one week, I lived off-grid with one of Nepal’s kindest families in a remote Rai village — no electricity, no internet, no crew… just me and my GoPro.

The Rai people are known across Nepal as one of the warmest and most welcoming communities. So I set out to experience their way of life firsthand. From farming and cooking, to learning the local language and even showering the village way — I fully immersed myself in their world.

    1:38:02 CORRECTION: Jack it was communist insurgency and NOT million people but about total 17000 people including security force, insurgents and local people died and it lasted for 10 years. You are right there was peace truce then they came to politics now. That was bad time for Nepal .

    HI jack, I think Meg was confused there the death figure during the Nepalese civil war(1996 to 2006) is actually around 15,000 to 20,000. And they were less like gangsters and more like freedom fighters But they did do wrong things to the people who weren't willing to support them or were against them.
