WWII Tokyo Air Raids 東京大空襲

WWII ended 80 years ago. Did you know most of what you see in Tokyo was rebuilt after WWII? Let’s talk about the Tokyo Fire Bombing

The US carried out extensive fire bombing throughout Japan during WWII. The night of March 9-10, 1945, was historic.

The US used napalm bombs, made to destroy Japan’s wooden cities.

Imperial Japanese law mandated civilians stay by a fire to try and extinguish it.

As many as 100,000 people perished that night.

The next time you’re enjoying Tokyo, be sure to remember its history.
