ππΊ Atagawa Tropical & Alligator Garden
A tropical garden and zoo that utilizes the abundant hot spring heat of Atagawa.
About 5,000 kinds of tropical plants and fruits, such as bougainvillea, hibiscus, and papaya, are cultivated and displayed. The crocodile species are among the largest in the world, with about 100 crocodiles of 16 different species.
The main tropical botanical garden has a large number and variety of tropical water lilies and native orchids, and is the only place in Japan where you can see Amazonian manatees.
The branch garden displays western red pandas and tropical fruit trees such as bananas in a greenhouse. You can eat freshly picked bananas and papayas at the fruit parlor.
It is very large and full of things to see, so you can enjoy a whole day:)
