This time, I have enjoyed a 21-hour overnight journey on the large high-speed ferry Suzuran, which connects Kitakyushu (Shin-Monji) and the Tokyo metropolitan area (Yokosuka, Kanagawa), with a passenger capacity of 590 and a total length of 224.5 meters. While there are deluxe cabins available, I opted for the most affordable cabin, making it cheaper than the Shinkansen and definitely less expensive than flying. For those with time to spare or looking to enjoy a leisurely trip surrounded by ocean views, I hope this can be considered as an option. Although I happened to encounter bad weather this time, which extended our travel time, you can typically enjoy the journey as scheduled in about 21 hours, so rest assured.
