At 95 years old, Samurai “Joe” Okada is Japan’s oldest living tour guide and is dubbed as Japan’s “Last Samurai.” This video will show you a preview of what you’ll do on his famous Kyoto walking tours, which includes an interactive samurai show. Each tour lasts about 5 hours and includes lunch along with plenty of local shops to shop for souvenirs as well. We had so much fun on this tour and learned a lot about Kyoto’s history with Joe as our guide. It’s a must-do activity for anyone visiting Kyoto!

  1. I feel like the Tour guide industry would be an excellent place for retired individuals in the US. If they want extra cash, the ability to shed light on the places they are experienced with, connecting to strangers. Why isn’t this a huge thing?
