Hopefully will see you on 2nd march
😊
Cherry blossoms are sooo beautiful! Arigato for sharing this info!
We will be in Osaka from 20. april and in tokyo from 28. april until 13. may. I hope we will still get to see some blossoms when we arrive, fingers crossed!
Arigato Ken for the information . Can you please write down names of these places in the order of the itinerary that you mentioned. Thank you 🙏
Thanks again for showing us a great itinerary for seeing cherry blossoms 😊
Thank you for the great advice. A few lessons I learned are:
1) As said in the video the predictions aren't accurate, so if you arrive at the end of the predicted period and the blossom happens one week early, or you plan to leave early and the blossom is one week late, you'll end up missing it.
2) I thought the petals would still be on the trees if I arrived one week after the blossom, but by that time almost nothing remained.
3) I noticed there were almost no petals remaining, yet I visited all the cherry blossom spots regardless. Besides a few trees, the conditions were the same everywhere, and most blossom spots without petals become ordinary places, so it's better to see other things. (and if your itinerary is too complex it becomes hard to change)
4) You can plan day-trips depending on the situation (for example if you arrive too late in Tokyo, you can take a 1 and-a-half hour train to Sendai)
Very very useful video thank you Kenchan. I guess this blossom period changes a bit every year ?
I downloaded Klook because I saw you can buy shinkansen tickets, as well as tours.
Personally, I think that the whole cherry blossom hysteria is totally overrated. Yes, its beautiful, but so many other things in Japan are very beautiful. I would never travel to Japan, just because to potentially see the cherry blossoms.
When we last traveled to Japan, in February and March 2023, we did see the cherry blossoms in Tokyo. We didnt expect it at all, and we went to Ueno park for other reasons, and were so suprised to see the cherry blossoms and many people enjoying hanami. After that, we went to naka meguro, and enjoyed it there. Its beautiful to see the cherry blossoms. But its amazing to travel to Japan, anytime in the year. So go when you can, or when you want to travel, and dont worry about the cherry blossom season.
P.S. I am off to Japan tommorow for 4 weeks in Tohoku, and I am so much lookinng forward to it, and so nervous and excited, that I will probably not sleep at all.
Great video. My itinerary in early April will start in Kyoto area and then go to Kanazawa. Even if I don't get to see the cherry blossoms, it'll be fine because this is going to be my first visit to the Hokuriku area
I’ll be in Hiroshima from April 2-4 then fly to Tokyo on April 5. I’m excited to see the Cherry blossoms! 🌸
Great video again Kenchan we will be there from April till July 3 months
Cherry blossoms are really beautiful. I want to see them again in person in the future. Thank you for sharing this one 👍
Thanks for this. The key is really to chase them , weather make it fickle to completely rely on weather forecasting sites. If you arriving later then you should head further north to boost your chance to catch them! To add, it is important to note the different species of cherry blossoms, some will be early and there are also late bloom species. Even in Tokyo, one can see sakura at different timing by focusing different kind of trees.
Shinjuku gyoen park is probably the best location irrespective of timing as it has a large varieties of trees ( early, popular (yosumei) and late blooming), so it gives you better chance to see it if you are slightly off on your timing.
I will be in Shinjuku from April
