⁴ᴷ Saga: Karatsu Station (佐賀県: 唐津駅) – Japan Walking Tour (February, 2025)
Since it’s getting cold and I’m determined to cover filming locations in every prefecture, I’m heading to Kyushu—the only region remaining. I took a ferry from Yokosuka Port and arrived at Shin-Koji Port in Kitakyushu, then toured Kyushu in a clockwise direction.
I’ve made it to Karatsu City in Saga Prefecture. With this, I’ve now filmed in every prefecture in Japan.
Although it’s a reconstructed castle, the sight of Karatsu Castle from a distance is truly beautiful. Castles built on land that juts out into the sea feel somewhat rare. The area around the station has charming alleys and shopping streets with a nice, atmospheric feel, but there weren’t many people walking around, which made it feel a bit quiet.
