Hey folks, back in Tokyo for another round of exploration. Treasure hunting through the city’s amazing secondhand shops and watch boutiques has been our bread and butter but do not fold right away because we have more than that in our lineup!

Thrifting for Timepieces

Japan is a watch lover’s paradise, and Tokyo is the epicenter of it all. From vintage Rolexes and Omegas to quirky Seiko automatics, you can find some incredible timepieces at a fraction of their retail price.

One of my favorite spot would be in the form of BookOff Super Bazaar in any area of Japan. They have a huge selection of watches from all the major brands, as well as some lesser-known gems. I found a beautiful vintage Rolex Submariner there that was in mint condition for a fraction of the price.

But the real treasures are often found in the backstreets of Tokyo. There are countless tiny shops tucked away in alleyways, filled with unique and affordable watches. You just have to be patient and do some digging to find them.

More than just watches of course, Tokyo is not just about watches. The city is also a mecca for fashion and design. You can find everything from high-end designer boutiques to quirky vintage stores.

Thrifting in Tokyo is more than just a shopping experience; it’s a cultural immersion. You get to interact with locals, learn about their fashion sense, and discover hidden gems that you would never find in a tourist shop.

For all people who will visit Japan and plans to do some shopping, any outlet park is a good choice to maximize your money. Mitsui Outlet Makuhari is not a stranger in this thing!
We saw an affordable & RARE Seiko Watch in Mitsui Outlet Japan and the solid black line in its strap really separates itself from the panda competition. It almost has the entire identity of the Seiko Chronograph popular watch SBDL085 but with the icy/sunburst dial, the SBDL101 will make people around you think. And if some people around you are really deep into the watch collecting and Seiko, it is the wrist piece that will make them say “If you know, you know.”. I feel like Mitsui Outlet in Makuhari is still within the line of affordable since the base price of watches are still justifiable. Do I recommend this outlet park? absolutely yes! Citizen, Kate Spade, Coach, Onitsuka Tiger and more brands are waiting for you! They might not have the latest designs, but the price is something you can not ignore!

It is my ritual to put this Mitsui Outlet Park as my last agenda in every Tokyo travel because it answers most question when your vacation is about to end. How to go back to Narita Airport?
We will answer that in this episode so make sure to have your snack before watching and you do not want to miss this part.

  1. Even in other countries, coin lockers are essential in this situation. Did you check the second floor?

  2. Now it makes sense. Regardless if it is not a clean 65% off, you are correct with the power of compounding discount. It becomes irresistible

  3. Beautiful lighting composition at 8:56! Got my SARY193 but the one you showed has a better price πŸ₯²πŸ₯²

  5. Maganda yung plan mo lodz na last day ito at mag bus nalang pabalik ng Narita airport. Ganito na din gagawen namen. Parang less hassle lalo na kung buong pamilya

  6. Hello @@yourMADcorner ! I went there last January and bought that exact SBDL-101, It’s my first Seiko watch. The design really stands out amongst the watches on that Prospex line because of the black line and then it has the same face with the β€œPanda”.

  7. Really enjoy your videos, easy sub! I especially seeing the larger bookoffs. I plan on staying at Machida Station next trip as there's Bookoffs, Treasure Factory and endless other thrift shops in the area. Plus the Nissan Heritage Museum is near by.

  8. Hey ! Love your videos bro ! Love from India !
Just a question, do they provide physical Warranty card or it's Digital at Japanese outlets?

  9. Just want to ask din po paano po maka punta sa oulet from narita airport using the bus, konting info lang po? Salamat po
