Explore one of Japan’s most historic factories in this unique video!

Japan’s oldest operating cement factory stands as a testament to the country’s rich industrial heritage. The Taiheiyo Cement Kamiiso Plant, which began operations in 1890, continues to supply cement not only to Hokkaido and Tohoku but also to Kanto and beyond, even exporting overseas.

In this vlog, I take you on a journey through this historic site, featuring its massive 2-kilometer-long belt conveyor stretching over Hakodate Bay. This impressive structure transports limestone from the Garō Mine, located about 8 kilometers away, ensuring a steady supply of raw materials for cement production.

The scenery here is a stark contrast to my usual nature vlogs—with powerful waves, vast industrial landscapes, and a fascinating blend of history and modern infrastructure. As night falls, the atmosphere shifts, revealing yet another captivating side of Japan.

🔹 Subtitle Correction:
📍4:05: It is also exported over sheath → It is also exported overseas.

I used DaVinci Resolve’s AI-powered automatic subtitle generation, but unfortunately, my pronunciation was misrecognized as “sheath.” Sorry about that!
