– Try and claim early. We arrived roughly 11am at JR Sapporo Station and had to wait for 2 hours in line. This made is miss our planned itinerary for the day.
– Limited coverage. Make sure to read inclusions as JR Passes only cover JR operated services, so if you want to use non-JR transport (e.g., subways, buses), you’ll need additional tickets or passes.
– Take note of the pass validity and research transit way to your planned destination so you can make the most of your trip.
