🏚️✨ Some places don’t just hold memories—they become them. A home that once breathed is now caught in a restless slumber, its story unfinished.
🌿🕰️ Hidden beneath ivy and dust, deep in the countryside of Belgium, stands a house frozen in time. It belonged to the couple Mr. René and Mrs. Odile. Their names linger on old letters, their presence in the objects they touched.
📽️ René was a man of many talents—a filmmaker, a craftsman, a soldier 🎖️. The old film equipment, the lenses left gathering dust, the faded photographs tucked away in corners 🖼️—they’re all signs of a passion that once burned bright. But where did that fire go? What made him, and Odile, disappear from the life they built?
📰⏳ Their life did not end with a grand farewell. The last newspaper, dated 2014, still rests where it was left, marking the final trace of their presence.
And now, a decade later, we step inside—not to disturb, but to listen 👂.
To hear the story that the walls still long to tell.
🔑 So come with me, as we delve into a place where time stands still…
🏡🕰️ A house frozen in memory. The forgotten home of René and Odile.

A very interesting find. So much decay. At 4:57 the items shown are used in making beer and wine to find the alcohol content also known as the specific gravity. Jack used to make beer and mead, so I recognized them right off. I am guessing Mr. Rene made his own beer, but that is just a guess. I always find it interesting when there isn't a bathroom in a place abandoned any time after 1950's. The item at 22:07 reminds me of a projector. The father of the girl I grew up with had one similar. I can't help but wonder if Mr. Rene didn't repair older televisions. Thank you for another great adventure. And still the best smile on the internet! Cheers. ❤
That was an amazing explore. I really liked the film projector, old 35mm cameras and record players. I think the phone was hooked up to a fax machine, perhaps.
Mr. Rene enjoyed one of my favorite hobbies photography. I loved the old cameras and the lenses you found. This home I believe was filled with alot of love. Another wonderful.adventure that definitely made me smile.
You created a beautiful introduction to this masterpiece. So many precious memories left behind. Bravo.❤

10:52 Caza-Chem is a anti-algae additive for fuel oil (mazout), but it also acts as anti-freeze.
17:39 You are right, it's a telephone with fax build-in, this was very common back in the days. Grtz from Belgium.
한글 자막이라. 너무좋아요. 빠짐없이 보는 영상. 감사합니다
Awe she had her veil wraped around the wedding photo. Thanks for the tour of their memories .
Mi piacerebbe vedere dopo che ve ne siate andati quanti oggetti di valore sono rimasti in questa casa 😅 furbacchione.
I know nothing about trading or Investing and I wanna get started. What are some strategies to get started with?
That thing with the lens attached was a very old film projector, I believe and 8mm. That is the first one of that age I have seen since I was a child, and I am now 78 yrs. young.
The machine you had touched and asked what it was was definitely a fax machine and yes it has a telephone too that's how it worked. The phonomatic that you touched is a projector and you see pictures. You put the reels on the other side and then where it says p8 in the front is where you actually see the picture through the lens. He has a lot of projectors. That's a first aid kit with the bandages and the Red Cross on the box. Back in the '80s and '90s vhs's were big. Everybody had to have them or you were making your own. For the most part, these people love the simple life. Kind of funny to go into the so-called caravan which we call here in Canada. A camper trailer. Some more TVs where you would sleep😂😂 that is so weird. There's no place to wash your body or clothes. I didn't see a sink. Anyone? I could be one but definitely no tub for body washing. Anywho, thank you again for your exploration. It was quite cool. I liked it. Simple life as they say.
P 8 projector.
I love all of the hand crocheted fine table runners and scarfs. It takes a long time to make one by hand. I see them a lot in the abandoned homes you feature. They are so beautiful and valuable. Even the handmade doilies. Thank you for another enjoyable explore.
interesting to say the least..these are all old projectors, including the phonomatic, to play films, project them onto some where, scrren orsomething. the green lil rectangualr thing was a flash light, not a cassette recorder
the beige telefon, was actually a phone/fax machine
