Hachiko Gate has been closed! Shibuya Redevelopment 2025 Walking Tour [4K/HDR/Binaural]

On a beautiful sunny morning, I started my walk from the iconic Shibuya Scramble Crossing to capture the latest developments in the ongoing redevelopment of Shibuya. The former site of Tokyu Department Store is now under construction, with towering cranes dominating the skyline. As the city continues to transform, each visit brings new discoveries. Currently, the JR Shibuya Station Hachiko Gate is closed, requiring visitors to take a detour through the east side of the station to enter. Join me on this walk through the ever-evolving streets of Shibuya as I document the city’s rapid changes.

  1. Many thanks for the new video. It's always amazing to see a redevelopment within a very developed place such as Shibuya. Looking forward to seeing it in 2026.

  2. I am looking forward to any vlog from you 😊 And if I like it I always press like button ❤ It is easy and maybe it helps

  3. Do you think this will impact staying in Shibuya as a tourist in July? We are booked at a hotel in Shibuya, but would you recommend staying in another area of Tokyo given the construction?

  4. Thanks for sharing this video. Didn’t even know about the construction, but it’s good that I haven’t heard anyone mentioning the noise being a factor while staying at the hotels nearby. I just hope I don’t get lost trying to enter and exit the station 😅.

  5. I was there in summer 2023. There was a good amount of construction going on then. I’m looking forward to seeing how things turn out. Hopefully you can provide many videos in the future to keep us updated.😉

  6. Wow, Shibuya changing again. It's had a few changes since I worked there in the 1990s with no international tourists in sight! I wonder if the tourists will find a new playground? Thank-you for the video.
